Ogden Dog Walker Available!

Pet care experience

Not only have I been surrounded by pets my whole life, I have a year old female boxer named Frankie who needs special care. Due to Frankie's liver and kidney issues, I've had to train without treats, keep her on a strict diet, and follow multiple medicine schedules. I've been through a training program so I'm knowledgable with commands and training while on walks or at home. I'm familiar with particular diets and feeding schedules, and I'm aware your pet is your family.

James is the best!!! We never worried about our senior dog in his care, we will be using him every time we need a sitter! Thanks James!

James was absolutely wonderful with our 5 dogs and farm. We appreciated his attention to detail and loving care of our dogs both young and old. We will continue to book with James for the cares of our babies and cannot recommend him highly enough!

James is awesome. Went on plenty of hikes with my dog and kept me updated with pictures and texts about how the stay was going.

James is one half of the most dedicated dog parenting team I’ve ever seen. I love my dogs more than anything (and almost anyone) and James would be my top pick for a dog walker friend any day, all day. I’d trust him implicitly. Just don’t be surprised if your dog comes back barking a new groove because he’ll teach them some new music while they walk 🎶

I have a large, fully fenced in yard with 6 foot fences. My yard is filled with trees and shade, so your pup can cool off in the summer. If your dog is friendly with others, she can play with Frankie. Due to my dog's issues, my backyard is an extremely safe space where your dog won't get into any mischief. I'm 30 years old, and I know the value of good customer service and how important it is to treat your pet with love and respect. I also understand that your time is valuable. I'm known for being punctual.

Information James M. would like to know about your pet

A few things I'd like to know before meeting your dog are; 1.Is he/she friendly with other dogs? 2. Is he/she friendly with people? 3. What style of collar and leash do you normally use? 4. What treats, if any, are you comfortable with your pooch having? 5. Does your dog have any allergies I should be aware of? 6. What, if any, special care does your pup require? 7. Can your dog be called easily or are they a runner? (We can work on this regardless) It's good to know the style of walking you normally use with your dog, and what you'd like them to get better at! So any recommendations from you are most welcome. Every dog has a different personality, and the last thing I want is for him/her to feel uncomfortable.

A typical day

Dogs require mental and physical exercise. My usual walks i provide at least 5 minutes of training, or I use a dog treat puzzle. This helps stimulate your pup mentally, and tires them out. I am an avid hiker, and if your dog is up to it I'd love to take them on trails! I also frequent the Ogden River Parkway. I do this to train your dog to be comfortable around people on walks, and the quick meet and greets your dog gets will help him/her get better at avoiding distractions! If you would like me to just keep the walks to your neighborhood, I am happy to do that as well. If your dog likes to fetch, I've got fenced in areas I frequent with my own puppy, but I avoid dog parks.

I'm a full time student, but most of my classes are online. This means that I'm willing to work my schedule around yours. I currently already walk a couple dogs including my own, and I can move those times around to best suit your needs. I'd like to make your pup a part of my daily routine.
