Wife won't let me get a dog
Pet care experience
My wife and I love animals, but due to her work and travel, we are unable to have pets long term. Essentially, after she told me we couldn't get a dog, I turned to dog sitting to love on every animal. Her and I both grew up with dogs and over the last 2 years have dog sat for friends and family in the area. Although I have always preferred larger dogs, I will love on and care for any animal. My guinea pig, Rocky, is my baby and she has her own personality once you get to know her! All animals do, and I'm not sure humans deserve the love that animals provide. I am working odd jobs currently so my schedule is flexible at the moment to care for pets and take walks with dogs (or cats)! With walks, I stay on the sidewalk and avoid busy roads just in case of inattentive drivers.

James was wonderful with my big boy, Kain. I felt very comfortable leaving him in James' care. He made Kain part of his family, understood his cues and was very accommodating to our needs. Kain will definitely be returning to his care. We already booked another visit!
James and Katie are amazing! Our dog Uhtred has a lot of energy and we were concerned about how he would do, they took him for a walk everyday and gave him lots of love while we were away. Sent pictures and videos to us which enabled us to have a worry free vacation, knowing Uhtred was in great care. When we came back the house was clean, as if no one was there. Highly recommend them for both dog and house sitting. Thanks James and Katie!!
James and his wife were incredibly nice, responsive, and listened to all of our quirky rules about our pets (a dog and two cats). We would absolutely have them stay with the pets again!

For dog walks, I need to know what sort of distance and speed your dog is capable of going and if they are friendly with other dogs. For dog sitting, I want to know what sort of routine your dog is used to. Just like humans, animals have a routine and I want to keep them as comfortable as possible when their family is away.
A typical day
I love to take dogs out to dog parks or to the beach for fun activities. If your dog will fetch, I am happy to throw a ball all day to keep them physically and mentally engaged.
