We love the dogs. We bought our house in no small part BECAUSE of our dog. I am a recording engineer who works from home, spending a lot of time in our extra large backyard with our blue heeler Emmy. To be honest, there is probably way too many conversations in our home regarding "I hope Emmy knows she is loved", and "why does a 35 pound dog take up most of our bed." Dogs are family, and we treat them like it. Walks can be tailored to suit energy level, but typically will be a nice hour long roam of your neighborhood. If your dog is high energy and needs a run, we could do a bike ride if that's your pup's thing. If not, a nice stroll, stopping to sniff anything interesting, will be the default. In house visits are super easy, just let us know what is comfortable for you. Dog daycare will primarily be spent outside in a shaded, fenced, back yard. If the dogs get hot, they of course are welcome to come in and lounge in the A/C. Lots of toys, balls, ropes, to play with, and fresh cold water is always available. Boarding will include daily walks, but can include other things like going to the Griffith Park Dog Park as well. It's a favorite of our pup, and we are very considerate of which dogs get along so as not to cause any problems. If that's not your thing, we can hang out in our neighborhood and substitute extra walks. It's a quiet neighborhood, close to our local vet, and a pet store is in walking distance as well in case any emergency supplies are needed while you're away.
