Pet care experience
I’ve worked with and around dogs since before I can remember. In the past 6 years I’ve built a career as a professional trainer/handler. The jobs I’ve held throughout this time have given me thousands of hours of hands-on with hundreds of dogs of various breeds, ages, behavioral issues and health concerns, even outright disabilities. These jobs have not only included training responsibilities, but also walking, feeding, kenneling, cleaning and grooming.

Ruby has never stayed with anyone and she isn't really interested in people and James knew how to win her over and was very patient with her :) He has a training background and was able to give me some awesome tips! He is definitely great and I will use him for sure again!

We have a 1 1/2 yr old Great Pyrenees named Dude that has been with James since he was a pup. I can say unequivocally that James is the BEST dog trainer, sitter and simply a wonderful human being that my dog loves and most importantly that we trust. My home has a large privacy-fenced yard for your pup to explore and I maintain a stock of everything from toys to cleaning supplies to ensure both the dogs and I stay comfortable. They will be crated 6-8 hours overnight, and potentially for short times during the day if I need to be out. (If your dog is not crate trained, I cannot accept them for boarding) They will not be crated often during the day, but your pup will always either be supervised or in a crate. (I have plenty of crates, but feel free to bring your own if your dog is already comfortable in it) It’s just me and my dog, calm and quiet, so your pup won’t be needlessly stressed. Introductions/play with my dog will be done on a individual basis, as will exercise/walks. For any services outside of my home, I use my own slip-leads and GPS tag to ensure no lost doggos. I won’t be training your dog, but will still be using my experience as a trainer to better stimulate/engage with your pup and work on reinforcing better habits while redirecting from bad ones.

Please let me know ahead of time about any special needs or problem behaviors your dog may have. That’s anything from poor potty training to aggression to health concerns. I’m comfortable working with just about any dog, but the more I know the better!
A typical day
This will entirely depend on your pup and their interests/activity levels. But, as a trainer in the Springs for years now I definitely know some cool spots to take your pup! Sometimes we’ll walk, sometimes we’ll play games. Sometimes we’ll just cuddle on the couch! It all depends on who they are and what they like, but I’ll be leaning on thousands of hours of training and handling experience to make sure your pup is well stimulated and comfortable every day.

Availability
I am currently working only part-time, after choosing to spend more time working with my senior dog. So I have quite a lot of time to spend with your pup as well, and my availability is almost entirely open!
