I've owned and/or taken care of dogs (3 at once for a long while) since I was young, and we have always considered them part of our family. These included large, small, old, young, slightly "excited", and anxious personalities. Breeds ranged from German Shepherd to Lab and Lab mix, many mixed breeds and rescues, and misunderstood breeds such as the "pit bull". I'm responsible, trustworthy, punctual and LOVE animals! I also have a pretty good understanding of the "dog mindset" of alpha/leader, the cues that they give with their body language and "voice", and am calm and confident while handling and engaging with your pet. I'm also familiar with canine CPR and was an EMT for many years on Long Island. Currently, I live in Astoria and work full time as a firefighter in Manhattan. I'm trying to add some additional part-time income as well as be able to engage with dogs again, as we've decided not to add one to our family yet. My schedule rotates, so while I can't always have the same days off, I do have random days and nights off which is beneficial for walking or taking care of your furry family member. I can't wait to meet them!
