Genuine, honest, and experienced — Bringing the best care to your loved ones. Why am I different than other sitters? Caring for dogs is extremely calming and healthy for me. I am different than other sitters because being with pups, gaining their trust, and going through the process of making an animal feel comfortable is magical for me. I love it. My girlfriend and I have been doing Rover for a long while and we love it and the people and dogs we have met through our experience! - 16 years of hands on experience with dogs - 10 years of experience house sitting - I am a runner, I love to tire dogs out, so if they can run on a leash decently well I will take your pup. - Best friends are dog trainers, so I know plenty more than the average joe about dogs and have an immense pool of knowledge to lean on to solve any problem that could arise. - I am a bigger guy, so I might deter more of your enemies from trying to siege your house while you are away. JK, but I can handle any large deliveries you may have while away. - I grew up fixing things with my dad in our laundromats, so I’m very handy with tools and can do any repairs if you have em! James was such a great find here on Rover! Daisy loves going over to his place for the day. She comes home happy and tuckered out. :) Plus, I know she was safe and well cared for. It gives me peace of mind when she is with James!
James is absolutely amazing! He is so kind and communicative. We felt so comfortable leaving our dog in his care. He sent tons of photos and kept us updated on a daily basis on how they were doing. He took her for a ton of walks, and taught her better manners!
We can highly recommend James as a pet sitter. He took great care of our dog, and left our house in excellent condition. We would definitely use him again.

I live in an apartment complex that’s dog friendly in Cortez hill (downtown) and balboa park is a block away. We are on the bottom floor and very close to the door, so it really feels more like a house than an apartment. I can wash dogs of any size and I am a runner so if they need it I can run them. We have a back area that’s full of sun and toys too, so dogs are very comfortable here and they get out a lot. Beach trips if they are allowed by the owner. I can also do Obedience Training, my friend has taught me all the professional ropes and I’ve gone through it with many dogs at her work and my own. It’s the full stop here.

My girlfriend and I live together, so there are two sets of eyes always on. She is also a sitter on rover. We both enjoy doing this thoroughly.
A typical day
Balboa park is my backyard. So I like to stroll through there. If your pup is shy then we can go to the small grass area closer to my house that is more secluded. I will ask the owner what I am and am not allowed to do with the pups. I can give the dog either an exciting exhausting time or a relaxing peaceful time depending on the needs. We will likely watch Mulan 2 at the end of the night as well.

Availability
I am very flexible as I work from home and can take breaks basically whenever. Balboa park is literally a block a way, I can accommodate most anything. All dogs are welcome to stay the night here and we are comfortable with any length of time. We do not leave town much and someone is always home with the dog. It will always be watched.
