Pet care experience
My formal pet care experience began 8 years ago when I started working as a doggy day camp counselor at a bustling facility that required me to care for up to 30 dogs at once, on my own, of just about every shape, size, and temperament. Part of my job during my employment there would also be to tend to the dogs who were boarding, which meant adhering to strict feeding, walking, and medication schedules. While all of this may sound like a lot, this job was rewarding for me in so many ways - not only in providing several years of experience in pet care, training in dog behaviors and responses, medication administration, etc - the best part of all was being able to provide a more comforting experience to all of these furry family members; cats and dogs alike. Being a source of comfort for even the most timid of pets, I was often called upon by my peers to retrieve certain boarders from their kennels, as I was often the only employee many of them trusted because of the time I take to get to know, assess comfort levels, and adjust my approach accordingly. With 4 pets of my own, all being rescues, and 2 of which being extremely timid around strangers and men, I completely understand the importance of a proper greeting, understanding body language, and how it can affect your relationship with a pet.
Reviews
I love how Jalend pays attention to detail. He wanted to make sure that he knew my little guy: from his treats and his routine down to the way he likes to play ball. I never worried a minute while I was out of town because he had everything under control. It was such a comfort knowing that my little guy didn’t have to go stay somewhere else, but could stay in his own routine at home. I would HIGHLY recommend Jalend and his pet sitting services to ALL my friends with furry people. Don’t even worry about stressing or planning for a trip to the kennel, just let Jalend come over and take care of your little family at home. AND, he will update you as often as you’d like regarding your pets and their behavior. Book him today!!
Jaylend i can't thank you enough for such a wonderful amazing job you did taking care of my baby Valentino. You went above and beyond not only making sure he was well taken care of while i was away for a few days but the videos you sent me of you guys playing are priceless. Valentino had such an amazing time being in your care. you kept him on schedule with his feeding time. and you made me feel comfortable especially being the worrisome fur baby mom that I am. I will definitely be using your services again and i highly recommend anyone to trust you with their fur babies.

Safety, trust & environment
I understand the difficulty that comes with trusting strangers around your pets - because I know personally I treat mine like family. I have a profound love of animals, and I don't think I have ever met a pet I didn't get along with, so rest assured - even the most timid of pets I have ended up winning over. I also say this to address another important thing to keep in mind that comes with the territory of trust - safety. That comes in even the little things like keeping a pop out bowl and bottled water when we go on walks, especially for dogs that just need a break sometimes (like seniors) - knowing how to maintain control of interactions between dogs, and what indicators to look for when they are not getting along - I also have no problem confidently letting people know if the dog I am walking is friendly or not with other dogs, and not to approach if so. All of these things are vital to ensuring the safety of your pet while in my care.
Information Jalend M. would like to know about your pet
Does your dog tend to pull on leash? How do you handle any potential undesired behavior with your dog (such as jumping on strangers)? How do you reward good behavior? Are there any allergies I need to be aware of? Is your dog friendly with other dogs? Do they have a history of reactivity or dog aggression? Are they timid with people, or maybe specifically children? Are they reactive toward things like birds, squirrels, or cars? Any possible triggers, really. Do you have any specific guidelines to follow in case of emergency? Are they usually inclined to try to eat things they shouldn’t be?
A typical day
A typical day would start off with anything that needs done before our walk - like feeding, filling water bowls or administering any vitamins or medications. Then we’d head outside for our walk, and/or playing with toys to ensure they get their exercise for the day, and get home nice and tuckered out while they wait for you to get back so we can really avoid the anxious feelings that can come from a high energy pup waiting for their parents to get back!
