Pet care experience
I grew up with dogs. They've always been a part of my life. Recently however, I've done a fair amount of learning dog training theory and have first hand experience raising two high energy male dogs! One (Pit mix) has major aggression issues with people and other dogs, which has fast tracked the learning process out of necessity. I love dogs and am very comfortable around them/competent handling them. As a side bonus, I can also work on any training goals you may have for your dog as I watch them!

We would highly recommend Jake S as a pet caregiver. He has a calm personality that animals need to feel safe. He's also a nutrition and exercise professional that understands how important that is for pets. Safety is a high priority and we love how caring he is. Our dogs love his mini massages! Best frisbee thrower ever!
Jake was great with my two Great Danes. He really cares for animals and you can tell he enjoys being with them, he's also very good at understanding what good behavior is and he helps to reenforce it. I would trust Jake to take care of them anytime!
Jake has been great for watching our lab/pit mix. He always provides updates and our boy gets excited to see him. We tried kennels for when we go out of town, but our dog feels way more comfortable at home with daily visits and exercise. Would highly recommend!
Jake has been watching our 60lb pit mix for years. He is our go-to for when we are heading out of town and have no one else we can trust to deal with our needy boy. He's great with special requests and sends picture updates of the fun hikes they go on!

This depends entirely on the dog. I believe in something called the freedom/responsibility quotient. Basically, a dogs freedom in any environment should be pretty closely proportionate to their ability to handle that freedom. For example; a puppy that is house training will have more limited freedom than a 5 year old trained dog. The puppy may spend more time in gated areas and under closer supervision to make sure they make it outside for potty training and don't chew the wrong things etc. That well-trained 5 year old dog may have full run of the house with an open doggy door. I take into account training level, training goals, environment, and owner rules ("policies") when taking care of a dog.
