When you have a sitter who has years of experience caring for animals, professional credentials in both behavior and CPR/ first aid, plus a genuine love for every animal who crosses their path, then you don't need to look any further for pet care for your own animals. I have been pet sitting and boarding animals on a part-time or "as needed" basis for almost 15 years. I am a former pet CPR and First Aid instructor. I also have a Masters degree in Companion Animal Behavior Analysis and Counseling, and I am currently an adjunct online instructor of animal behavior and applied behavior analysis and counseling at the college from which I graduated. I understand your animal's behavioral needs while they are away from you, and I am able to address any problems or concerns you may have while you are away from your pet. I am not a professional trainer, and I don't market myself as one, but I may be able to help you out with some additional behavior problems or basic training concerns you may have. I am also certified through FEMA for animal disaster preparedness and emergency response. I have previous work experience as a veterinary assistant, an adoption counselor at my local humane society, and I have done a lot of volunteer work with rescues, shelters and spay/neuter organizations in my area. I do my own rescue and adoption as well when I come across animals that need to find new homes. My house is in a rural area of Jonestown, PA. The house itself is smaller in size, but we have just over a half acre of yard, which will be great for your dogs to run around in. I do not leave my dogs outside all day, but I do let them out frequently to run around and do their business. Our back yard is contained with a 6-foot privacy fence, so they will be able to run and play in addition to any walks you may request. Our road is rural with no sidewalks, so if you request that I walk your dog while they are here, we will need to drive to Memorial Lake, which is only a couple miles up the road. I have walked my own dogs here many times, and it's a nice walking path. I also have experience caring for cats and other species of animals, so if you need additional care or boarding for another type of pet, we can discuss that as well when you contact me. Your pet(s) will be in great hands while you are away, so don't hesitate to book with me. I would recommend a meet and greet beforehand for new customers, especially if your pet will be coming in to my home, to ensure that everyone gets along okay. I have a small child, 5 cats, and 2 large dogs, and it is of primary importance that everyone is safe and happy while they are spending time together.
