I grew up with many pets and have always had a great affinity towards dogs, so much so that in recent years I transitioned from a full time career in Graphic design to work with dogs. I became a co-owner of an employee owned Pet Care cooperative named Brighter Days Collective in Washington, DC. I worked primarily as a dog walker and built strong relationships with my clients and their animals. Excellent people and social skills were imperative for keeping up with the specific needs of each dog, and the scheduling and coordination of services. I assisted many families who had just rescued adult dogs and puppies in positively training them to adapt to their new environment, household etiquette, how to walk, and how to interact with other dogs and humans. Working with the collective has given me the skills to handle multiple dogs of all sizes. Additionally, I have learned how to appropriately group dogs and how they can support each other in walks and training. I am very committed to the humane and ethical treatment of animals and am grateful that my path has led me to this field of work. My goal is to bring more happiness to your pets!!
