I have educated myself on dog behavior and body language to make sure all dogs are safe and healthy. I will never leave or take a dog out in unsafe weather, leave multiple dogs unattended, or put your pet at risk in any way. I am also familiar with dog CPR and heimlich maneuver. Walking and Drop Ins: I will never allow your dog off leash when outside of the home. I am fairly strong and have handled up to 150 combined pounds of Labrador strength while walking. I make sure I always keep dogs from eating trash, food, or plants off the ground, minimize phone use so that I am alert, and pay attention to your particular dogs habits to avoid issues. I make sure to lock up the house after entering, while I am out during the walk, and after leaving. Boarding: We have a great yard with a 7ft privacy fence so there is no chance of any escape artistry! we also have taken the extra step to block off areas under out deck, shed, and fence to prevent smaller dogs from squeezing under places they shouldnt. ALL DOGS WILL BE FED SEPARATELY AND KEPT SEPARATE WHEN NOT SUPERVISED. Safety is key for all dogs involved, and I will not take any chances when it comes to preventing fights. I keep up gates throughout the house so when I leave your dog(s) can be safe but still have plenty of room to move around, but also see my dogs so they don't feel lonely. I also provide the option of letting your dog stay in their own room with a bed and water, or in a large crate. PLEASE disclose if your dog has any type of resource guarding or anything that might make them aggressive. This isn't always a deal-breaker for sitters, it just ensures we set our dogs up for success and a good time!

Walks through our very safe neighborhood and plenty of backyard time for chase and fetch. We always have pretty quiet evenings watching tv or playing games. In summer we will have a little wading pool to cool off in. Rutger loves to play with other dogs, so if your dog is social and energetic, they will have a great time! There are plenty of toys for active dogs and beds for the slower ones, as well as the opportunity for quieter dogs to "retreat" to another room for some quiet time if other dogs are too loud. My younger dog, Rutger LOVES every dog that we have boarded and makes fast friends with even the most timid dogs. Nyla is older and mostly minds her own business, but she does love to play outside, especially with smaller dogs.
