I am a doctorate student at West Virginia University. Based on my funding and I am not allowed to get an additional job while in school. I am doing this as a flexible side job hopefully allowing a little extra money to come in. I have a chinchilla and fish of my own, but that is only because I live in an apartment and it just wouldn’t be fair to get a doggo until my living arrangements change. That being said my entire life I’ve grown up with pets. My family has over 50 pets of our own including dogs, cats, ducks, peacocks, chickens, goats, and horses. I have always done wildlife rehabilitation with my mom releasing squirrels, birds, and rabbits back into their natural environment. My animal experience ranges from domestic animals to wild animals to livestock. I have grown up around dogs and cats my entire life including two batches of yellow lab puppies ( 8 and 12 puppies,) two old english sheepdogs, a cat that lived to be 18, and a couple coon dogs. During my undergrad I was a pre-vet student with over 500 vet shadowing hours and I was accepted into The Ohio State University veterinary school. However, I decided to decline my offer to pursue a PhD in reproductive physiology and study bovine reproduction and in vitro embryo production. My whole life has been and will always be about animals. I am a very pet-friend person who loves all dogs [or really any animals], from snakes to great danes, I will love any fur baby.
