Pet care experience
I am 23 years old. I now have a year of experience with pet-sitting and dog-walking, and I have tons of experience with many different kinds of animals, and dogs of all sizes! I have loved all types of animals for my entire life. I grew up with cats, dogs, fish, frogs, lizards, turtles, and birds. My late grandfather and I owned a farm for five years while I lived with him. We cared for two great pyrenees, a cat, a horse, goats, chickens, and ducks. I have now done a few overnight stays. I love being active with dogs, running with them in the yard or a park. Currently I own a cat, whom I love very much, but I miss having a dog, so sitting and walking helps me fill my void! I work at Starbucks generally Monday-Saturday in the early morning from 4:30 AM - 10:00 AM and at Petco in the evenings generally 4-9 PM. My schedule varies, I will do my best to keep my calendar updated, let me know if you have any questions! I am currently about to start training to be a dog trainer at Petco! For 6 weeks (June 13- July 26th) I will be unavailable on Wednesday's and Thursday's due to this training. I am available for walks, drop-in visits, or overnight stays. Please let me know if you have any requests, I try to be very accommodating. If you are booking an extended stay (over 1 week) there will be an extended stay fee, and I must know exact dates of the beginning and end of the stay. If the stay extends longer than what was originally agreed upon there will be a $15 fee for each extra day. Emergencies happen, I will be accepting of that, and waive fees in the event of an emergency.

Jade has a heart of gold! We were gone for a full day. She was attentive to all instructions, excited to meet and greet Chance our lab and was super friendly and kind. She went above and beyond to take Chance for a fantastic walk! Love the new check ins, time frames and details like photos, feeding times etc. This was our first Rover meeting with Jade but feel as if Chance and Our family have a new friend and wonderful helper.
Jade is a very responsible and capable young lady who certainly has a way with animals. She has cared for animals since she was a young child, and through the years has learned to deal with everything from dogs and cats, to roosters, goats, and horses. One of my main experiences with Jade and animals came when we visited her, and she introduced my grandchildren to the animals on her home place. I was impressed with her knowledge about each type of animal as well as her patience and care in dealing with each animal. It was apparent that her love and devotion to these animals made her an excellent caregiver. She was definitely in charge, but in a kind, loving way, and was able to show the grandkids the special qualities of each animal. It was obvious that Jade knew what to do. Jade L is a special person who seems to have a calling for working with animals. She is committed to their safety and security but also finds great joy in caring for and just being with animals. As a testament to Jade’s special qualities, she makes a point of staying in touch with her great grandmother who is in her 90s. I think that says a lot about who she is and how she feels about all living creatures.
Our fur babies love Jade. As a couple with 4 large indoor dogs we found it critical to find a dog sitter who would take care of our home and dogs while we are gone from time to time. As a dog lover herself, Jade instantly became a great fit for our fur babies. Jade is careful to make sure our red bone runner is always leashed when it's time to go out, we can trust her to give our lab her medication as needed and play with our Ridgeback who is very hyper at times. Jade takes.care to clean messes the dogs make when she sees them and makes sure our house is still clean and in good shape when we return.
Jade has always been someone who loves any kind of pets. She has had experience with both cats and dogs as well as dogs of many different breeds and sizes. Her ability to connect with animals, even those she has only been introduced to, is extremely valuable and unique. She also has compassion and knowledge for the way an animal may be feeling and what they may need that others may accidentally overlook. She is energetic and friendly and would be a perfect fit for any type of dog caregiving role!
