We booked Jade to watch our dog and three cats, and although our animals seemed fine when we returned we were far from satisfied with her care. The first day of our trip we allowed her to bring her younger sister and one friend to ‘love on the pets’, but over the four days we were gone 7 additional people we did not permit were seen coming in and out of our house at all hours of the day and night. One of which clearly attempted multiple time to obscure our doorbell camera, and some seemed to remember the code to the door we specifically gave for our sitter. The night before we flew home we had to threaten to call the police to remove the extra people from our home. It was nearly 1 in the morning. Our dog needs to be crated when alone which is why wanted someone to stay at our home, but she left on her own or with her friends multiple times a day for 1 to 4 hours each. It’s fine to leave the house for food or other necessities, but the amount of times she left made it clear our dog was spending a significant amount of time either crated or unsupervised. She did not provide daily updates like we requested, I had to ask specifically for photo updates of our pets more than once, one of those times she sent a photo of our dog clearly taken days ago. It was only until I pointed this out that we got a video of him from that day. Upon returning to our home, the litter boxes had not been scooped for what looked like two days, all the food dishes were crusted in old dry food, trash was left in multiple places in the house and the master bathroom shower was clogged from hair left in the drain. After having just travelled for an entire day, I then had to scoop out an entire grocery bag of soiled litter and clean up multiple spots in our basement where our dog had marked. As someone who has house sat through Rover before, I know the standard of care people expect for their animals and this was far below that. Not only were we not confident that our pets were safe and cared for, we had our trust broken multiple times. We will not be utilizing Jade again the future.

I have known Jade for a long time. In this time, there has never been a question of Jade's love of animals. She has always demonstrated enormous love and compassion for all animals and animals love her too. She is not your average pet sitter/walker. She is an exceptional caretaker who is reliable, efficient and devoted.
