I have owned pets from as far back as I can remember (basically from diapers on!). I don’t think there was ever a point in my childhood where our house was pet-free. From cats to dogs to fish, there was always something furry with four legs running around our house. My entire family is made up of complete animal lovers. My mom is a member of ASPCA & PETA & her love for animals has most certainly been passed down to me. Currently we have 1 dog & 8 cats...yes 8! We did not plan to take in this many cats at once, however, there was a pregnant cat running around our neighborhood approx 10 summers ago having kittens. Nobody seemed to care to take in any of the kittens besides my mom & I. We did try to put them up for adoption to Petco but nobody came around to adopting them... so low & behold we have 8 new members of the family at our house now. They are all so unique in their own way and have such big personalities. Our pets have always been considered members of our family and should be treated as such. I recently moved out of my moms to an apartment where I adopted a kitten of my own who is now 1 years old named Loki. He is one spoiled & loved kitty who actually loves & gets along with small dogs. I realized this when I watched my mom‘s dog for a weekend and my cat Loki and my mom‘s dog Maggie (a beagle/dachshund mix) played with each other as if they were best of friends. Although my work schedule is sporadic at times I usually know about a month in advance how many days for the week I’ll be working. Typically a shift for me is either 730 to 330 or 10 to 6. Some weeks I only work 1 to 2 days a week which leaves a lot of open availability for me to pet sit. At my job we are on a rotating schedule for weekends, so I only work every sixth weekend as well. I am currently in an apartment with one cat, Loki. I cannot board in my apartment unfortunately, but I am more than happy to visit your home to perform my pet sitting duties.
