I understand that not every dog is the same and it may take some time to warm up to new people. With this being said, I never force an interaction that is not natural, giving an animal the opportunity to take their time to get adjusted is key to building the trust. I have a fenced in backyard in my home, but would never leave an animal outside without supervision in the event they start the wander and get curious! If there are a set of rules set in place for being in a clients house, I will ensure all rule are abided by without question. I am very aware of signals that dogs give out, meaning, if I notice a dog is in distress or another animal appears to be too aggressive while approach a dog I am with, I will evaluate the situation and act accordingly. Whether this means crossing the street or changing directions. My goal is to create a fun, safe, and trusting relationship with all dogs!
