Hello hello! I graduated from UW-Stout with a degree in Environmental science and am located in a beautiful 2 story townhome in the North-loop of Minneapolis with my roommate and our little gecko named Echo and fur baby Willaby the cat. Willaby is a very loving and affectionate lady who tends to just steer clear of new dogs and if confronted, the most you’ll see out of her is a scrunched neck to avoid a wet nose and a scurry up the stairs to her safe place! My roommate and I currently work for home so for boarding and daycare clients we’ll be around to give your pup all the love and attention they require throughout their stay! We allow our cat in the beds with us so your babies are welcome to do the same when they sleep or in their crate or wherever they prefer, as long as they’re comfortable and happy! I’ve grown up with dogs (including litters of puppies) and numerous other animals (hamsters, rabbits, chinchillas, horses, cows, etc.) my whole life and have always had massive love and compassion for our furry friends. I’ve also worked at a The Wildcat Sanctuary in Sandstone, MN working with a range of species (domestic hybrids to bobcats to lions and tigers, oh my!) and over 100 individual residents. In that position we dealt with a lot of geriatric and special needs residents where we had to memorize health issues and history, specific diet and medication. So I’m equipped with the knowledge and confidence to care for your fury baby in any way, no matter how diverse their needs may be! At this sanctuary I also spent a great deal of time being laser focused on small details, studying the animals body language and anticipating changes in health and well-being (this helped to prevent or diffuse any current or future issues),and providing them with lots of enrichment (which just means “The Fun Stuff”)!! There were different categories such as sensory, physical, cognitive, and food to keep them in their best physical and mental condition and so they were always happy and having fun. We would give them their favorite treats, put their favorite scents around their enclosure/rooms, give them new toys or pools, play music, hide treats or toys around their enclosure for games of hide and seek, and some would just love some quality time with you. With all this experience I’m confident that your loved one will be safe, happy, and engaged when they’re with me :) Can’t wait to meet and care for your best buddy!
