Big and small, I love them all!

Pet care experience

**If I am out of range for your area, shoot me a message, we'll see what we can work out!** I'm someone who believes that if you love what you do, you'll never work a day in your life. That's how I feel about being around animals in general. I'm a student at SUNY Empire State College working on my bachelors degree for wildlife management and I earned an associates degree in natural science. I was born into a family with dogs, Chow Chows, and ever since then I have always had a dog in my life. In fact, I can't see myself ever not having a dog. With that passion, stems a lot of love for dogs all shapes and sizes, all breeds, and all backgrounds. Growing up with a puppy for the first time two years ago, I learned a lot about how much trouble they can get into within seconds. I've spent sleepless nights up with that restless puppy and assured she was comfortable until she tired herself out once more. I have upgraded my car twice now due to my Husky mix growing older. I owned a 2004 Mustang at first and soon realized that was getting difficult for her to climb into and out of. Once Mia was added into the mix, I knew I needed a four door. After four years, the Mustang left and I bought a Subaru Baja. Much more room but it still wasn't enough... So I made the purchase of my 2013 Crosstrek and couldn't be happier. I have the room I need for both myself and dogs, camping, kayaking, hiking- anything the day may bring. I never worry about the reliability of my car and carry a full sized spare at all times. Safety for my pets, clients, and myself are my #1! Have something other than a cat or dog? I may have some experience with that! Just toss me a message if you need another little furry friend fed along with your dog or cat!

We have been so lucky to have Jacqueline visit and play with our high-energy weimaraner puppy! Her visits were just what he needed in terms of getting playtime in the yard as well how she helped to engage his mind when she continued to practice the tricks we have been working on with him. Jacqueline was a professional and considerate communicator sending us lots of pictures of the visits and checking in to confirm visit times and how it was all going. She even stepped up to find his food when I forgot to leave it out! We appreciated the care she gave our dog and we know he can’t wait to have another visit with her again!

Jackie helped us out when we were in dire need of a last minute sitter during a family emergency. Really appreciated her dropping everything to come stay with our pets and her great communication/picture updates. Thank you Jackie!

Information Jacqueline P. would like to know about your pet

Any aggression issues, such as touching a personal toy or blanket, that could cause any issues. I just want to know about personal space that dog may want or need. I know my Shiba has a "bubble" and would rather people stay out of it. She's much like a cat and will come to you when she feels like it. Leash aggression isn't the same as being 'mean'. It's a comfort thing and the dog may feel trapped! This is something to work on with a professional but that doesn't mean your dog can't enjoy a walk. Keeping a comfortable distance away from other dogs and keeping your dog away from a situation like that is all you need. Just be open with me about what you want and expect and I will assure your pet will be 110% safe with me in any controlled situation.

A typical day

I love to take dogs out on nature trails when possible! The park is always a great place to get some exercise and if the client and dog are both comfortable, a dog park. I'm always up for a lake day, beach day, hiking, or just a casual stroll around the block. I'm not afraid to get a little dog fur in the car so you can expect to see your dog going on some adventures in the safety of a dog loved and approved Subaru! Happiness is key to a long life of love and my goal is to make each dog a little happier on each adventure we take. Want me to work on some training? Need a little help with walking properly on the leash? I have a bit of experience with training from friends and professionals! I'll be happy to work with your pup on some loose leash walking or the basic sit, stay, and even heel!
