Who needs a walk?
Pet care experience
My name is Jacob Rivera. I live in Queen Village and started humbly in 2017 boarding dogs at my mother’s house in Old City when I was a senior in high school (17 at the time!). 5 years later I have grown and focus on dog walking especially and work with dogs full time now! With 5 years experience on Rover, 16 years of owning a dog, and dedication to provide safe yet fun service, I am sure to be a great friend for your furry one! I am a former owner of a Pomeranian Papillon mix named Star (She looked like a little fox). When she passed in summer 2017, I started a joint account with my mother to share our love of dogs to the world via Rover. When you book any service with me, you will be guarenteed an update everyday with a photo included, so you will be assured that your pup is having a great stay. I also have loads of fun playing with doggies, your pet will have plenty of physical activity throughout the day to have them happy and lazy 😊. During walks, especially on hot days, water will be provided for the dog. Also equipped with a first aid kit and some dog wipes in the case of a messy situation. Meet and greets with new clients is mandatory to make sure that we are a good fit. Also experienced with elderly pets, pups, and all dogs big and small! For boardings we do own a cat, if you're pet is not good with them this may not be the best booking. Services Provided: *Walks *Boardings at my house *Sitting at owner's house
Reviews
Jacob has been walking my 2 1/2 year old dog for over a year now and we could not be more pleased with him. He’s courteous, reliable and always on time and my dog loves him. We’ve even used Jacob for overnight visits on a number of different occasions. In certain instances I’ll either drop my dog off or he’ll come and pick her up at my home if I’m in a pinch. He’ll send me daily updates and pictures which always makes rest assured that my pup is in great hands. Jacob has become a staple in our lives and we’re so grateful for all of his attention and trust.

Safety, trust & environment
For everything safety is #1! Some extra measures/precautions to ensure everything goes smooth includes: •Meet and Greet before booking first service •Transparency, if any issues or concerns arise I will be sure to let it be known as soon as possible •Keys: If I ever have to hold a physical key (For example, lockbox) I will make sure they stay on a keychain and never loose in my pockets •Socialization: As much as I love seeing dogs interact, unfortunately during walks I won’t be as open to letting socialization happening. On the bright side you will be ensured that nothing will happen to your furry love. Also no dog parks!! •Treats: I carry treats but during meet and greets I usually ask if your dog can have other treats (No in this case is completely understandable, some dogs could be sensitive to one treat more so than another) •Tailor to your needs: I have given medication to older dogs as well, such as oral medication. Don’t feel that you are a crazy dog/cat person for leaving 2 pages with instructions. I will read everything and ensure that each step will be done correctly. Whatever it is that needs to be done for your pooch, or for you as the owner for peace of mind, I will make sure it’s done!

Information Jacob R. would like to know about your pet
•General Temperament/Mood •Is he/she good with people? •Is he/she good with other dogs? •Any triggers (Such as squirrels, bikes, etc) •Any dog training that the dog is taking? (I have one client where I have to walk the dog on the left bc it is getting trained to do that, so don’t want to interrupt any training going on) •Any Medical Issues?
A typical day
Queen Village is such a scenic old neighborhood that has many parks hidden between the old infrastructure. I live on 2nd St, one street over is Front where there is a nice stretch of park all the way from Christian to Spruce. Also the Old Swedes Episcopal Church is nearby and has a nice open field that people usually walk their dogs in (If any dog is off leash though we will probably turn the other way). Mario Lanza Park is also a cute little park tucked between 2nd and 3rd on Catherine (It has a dog park but we will not go in there during walks). Other than the parks many historic tree lined streets that will provide for some interesting aromas for your pup
