Hyper dogs wanted

Pet care experience

When i was 3 years old, I was seriously injured when our family dog, Moe, bit me on the head... On two separate occasions. Instead of becoming afraid of all dogs, I learned the importance of respecting and being able to communicate with dogs. In the hopes of avoiding a misunderstanding such as the one that lead to my childhood best friend being put down. In adult life, I'm the go-to sitter among friends and family. During my experience as a delivery driver, I honed my skills as a dog whisperer. I really love dogs and feel fortunate every time i meet one. I have a 10 month old border collie/beagle mix puppy named Daisy who assists me in playing with guests. Daisy gets along with every dog she meets, period. Timid, anxious, aggressive, big, or little, Daisy will find a way to get along and make the best of things. She'll also match most play styles. Daisy is my equal partner in this business. When we have multiple guests (most weekdays), she is alongside me working to help ensure every dog can get along and have fun. She is particularly skilled at welcoming puppies, in ways only another dog can. In short, Daisy and I can be great friends and caretakers to any dog, and we'd love to meet yours. Boarding: previous day care visit required. Behavior permitting, dogs may sleep where they choose, furniture, bed, dog bed, or crate. Please provide a crate just in case. Livestream camera of the large section of the yard available on request. Philosophy and environment outline (full draft coming soon: 1. Playful and Social environment a. Max of 6 guests at a time. b. Constantly guided and monitored play. c. Multiple levels of separation possible for instances where one or more dogs are made uncomfortable for any reason. 2. Safety takes priority over anything else a. All socialization happens with me standing or sitting right there b. Acute awareness of and focus on each dog's mental state, emotional state, behavioral cues, habits, triggers, and preferences. c. Highly skilled at de-escalation, conflict resolution, stress mitigation, and pro-active redirection. 3. Frequent direct human contact 4. Enforced and controlled nap times. 5. Individual needs are prioritized. 6. Benefits of highly managed socialization with multiple dogs while being in an environment where they are free from territorial and protective instincts Full availabilty monday through friday 6am-8pm, some weekend availability. Rover is my full time job. When dogs are here, they receive my full attention. All play is supervised. I always have a free hand for petting and space on my lap for as many dogs as will fit! Pick-up and drop off availability dependant on scheduling with other clients, ask for current details. Cannot do pick-ups on a recurring basis. Day care: We have a fairly large fenced in (puppy proof) yard great for running, playing catch, sniffing the flowers, or just lounging under a tree. If the weather allows, most of the time will be spent in the yard, always under my direct supervision. The yard consists of two separate but connected areas, that can be blocked off by a temporary fence in the event a dog needs some alone time I do doggy day care as my full time job. Monday to Friday 6am to 7pm. I'm also available on short notice if spots are available! Safety is my top priority. My yard is fenced in and dogs are supervised at all times, inside or out. Dog to dog play is very closely monitored, i work closely with each guest to ensure their needs are met and will help them to find their place in the pack.

Jacob is the best daycare sitter. My puppy doesn’t warm up to anyone especially males, and Opie and Jacob have made a lot of progress in the last couple weeks. Opie cries everytime we pull in the driveway out of excitement. His set up is perfect!!!

Please let me know: any dietary restrictions/preferences (i rarely use treats, but its good to know just in case), training preferences you'd like reinforced/adhered to (no sitting on furniture, no jumping, sit before going outside etc) Please provide vaccination info (a simple description of vaccination status will suffice)

A typical day

Sticks, tennis balls, chasing butterflys, barking at squirrels, wrestling, playing in the sprinkler, lounging in the kiddie pool, hanging out in the shade, sniffing flowers, digging, and relaxing in the air conditioning away from other dogs are all activities that guests can engage in should they desire! ALL activities will be directly supervised. In the morning we play in the yard for 2 or 3 hours if the weather allows. I take the time to get to know each dog and figure out their role in the pack and what they are comfortable with and enjoy, and help ease them into it. I constantly coach and guide play so that no one feels left out and every dog feels safe and comfortable. With a maximum of 5 guests at a time, I'm able to maintain a very tight ship while maintaining a very fun and engaging environment. Safety always comes first.
