Hi, Im Jake. I love dogs. I have owned dogs my entire life as well as many other pets (27 different types at one point). My job is to make sure your pets are cared for, happy, safe, and healthy. I may be a larger guy, but I am teddy bear. I believe that reliability and trust are key, especially when it comes to watching your homes and furry friends. For the past 7 years, I have walked dogs and house sat for neighbors and family friends. I am home between schooling and looking to do more pet care until I leave for graduate school. I got my bachelors of science with majors in marine science and in biology at the University of Miami. As part of my academic career, I have received certificates to work with animals from both University of Miami and Cornell University. On top of caring for furry friends, I have extensive experience in aquarium keeping, aquaculture, and caring for reptiles.

Jacob has been our trusted dog minder for a couple of years now. He is trustworthy, reliable, kind, attentive and an excellent communicator keeping us up to date while we are away. Minding Ella includes morning and evening walks, feeding, playing and providing general good company. We never have any worries when Jake is in charge.
I’ve known jacob for about 5 or 6 years now. Jacob is a diligent worker and is compassionate towards animals. He has taken care of many of my friends’ pets and has been responsible for caring for his own pets growing up. I would trust Jacob with my pets and anyone else’s.

Before dog sitting, It is useful to know if the dog has any special needs (avoid other dogs, humans, crowds, special diet, medication). I prefer medium to large dogs, but love all canines to be honest.
A typical day
I try to tailor activities to the dog's personality, ability, and routine. I find that maintaining a pet's normal routine helps then deal with anxiety when their owner is away. Normally, I aim walk dogs a minimum of three times a day (at least 2 long walks and one short one). If the dog has a training routine, I make sure that it is practiced while I am watching them. I love going for walks on trails, playing fetch/frisbee, and running around. It depends on the dog and the owner's preference, but I also love taking dogs to the dog park.
