One of my family's favorite photos is of me, at about 3 yrs old, being dragged across the yard by my dog, Sadie, during a game of tug-o-war that I insisted I was winning. Although I was very wrong about my chances of success, nobody watching had the heart to tell me because I was having such a grand time, playing and romping with Sadie in the sunshine. Those early experiences with (in my opinion) the Best Dog Ever instilled in me a deep appreciation of all of our non-human friends, and the love and joy that they bring into our lives. Sadie has since passed, but before she did she taught me how to properly love and care for a treasured pet, and I have used that knowledge every day since then. My nursing program is, understandably, focused on human medicine and treatment; however, the skills and knowledge that I have gained during my career thus far are just as applicable for our four-legged friends. I am familiar with a variety of pet medication administration methods, and I always ensure that I have emergency vet/pet hospital information on hand in case the unthinkable should occur. Dogs hold a special place in my heart, but I love all pets be they feline, reptilian, or otherwise. It would be my privilege to meet you and your pet(s) and see if you make a good match.
