Pet care experience
I caring and responsible individual who loves the high energy and playful nature of dogs. I grew up on a farm and have been caring for dogs and animals my whole life. Whether it was jogging with Eddie, a proud but lazy husky/lab mix or training Bart, the family Chesapeake Bay Retriever, I have grown up around dogs. High energy, caring, and protective; I promise your pooch will have a friend in me. My building does not allow dogs otherwise I would have a Great Dane named Charlie. Instead I currently dogsit / housesit for friends around DC and love every minute! Let me know if your doggo prefers a morning run, chilling at a coffee shop or brewery, a visit to the dog park, or the laziness of the couch. Comfortable around DC community and will explore with your little friend as they would like! I have cared for elderly dogs all the way through puppies so I am ready to provide any special love and care needed!

Jacob was wonderful with Gordito and kept me updated with plenty of pictures. Also, my place looked great when I got back. He was also super accommodating with all the changes in my travel plans due to COVID-19. Can’t thank him enough for his understanding!
Jacob has done such a great job taking care of our 2 dogs! He has watched them a couple times now and the dogs are always happy & relaxed when we come home. He always make an effort to cleanup the space before he leaves which we appreciate. Highly recommend!
Jacob is an amazing dog sitter and the perfect house guest. Cheddar and I are his biggest fans and so grateful for all the thoughtful updates and loving care.
Jacob is an excellent walker and is my go to guy for my dog. I never have any doubts that he will take care of her and provide her with a great time, plus, she always seems to enjoy his visits.

I am very easy going and can follow specific instructions for animal care. Before caring for you best friend I like to know a little about them; regular routine, what they enjoy, if they like other dogs, etc. Nothing special, just let me know what to expect with your 4-legged buddy!
A typical day
Caring for your four-legged family member is something I look forward to doing! After our morning play your dog will experience some reading in the park or jog (if they are able) with me. Tug-a-war or fetch will always be a part of your dog's sitting experience. I am a fan of all dogs; from high energy "throw the ball!" to hanging out and rubbing a belly on the couch, your dog will have a match with me! I am an account manager by trade so any serious of instructions from special diet to medication will be followed to the T. If your fuzzy friend is a fan of dog parks I am more than happy to watch them play! Morning walks with coffee, a good podcast, and your doggo is a absolute joy!
