I have a open yard that is 5 acres. The cats are free to come in and out as they please. Whereas my shih Tzu puppy only goes outside a few times a day whenever I am with him. My big great paryneese dog is a angel and is very well trained. She will go outside to run around for a few hours as day but stays in the house a lot.
