Ever since I was a little kid, I have had a dog. It was my responsibilty to take care of the family dog and I would have it no other way. I am very gentle and patient with shy dogs and I love to play around with the energetic ones. For the past 2 years I have volunteered with the East Greenwich Animal Protection League, helping them rescue dogs from high-kill shelters in the south. The volunteer work has opened my eyes to so much and I am so grateful for it. I like to say that it has made me a better caretaker of my own dog and I have a better understanding of other dogs and how to respond when the take certain actions.
