From the second I was brought home from the hospital as a baby to the second I left for college I've had a dog. The first dog I had lived 17 years and I cared for her throughout her life. My current dog we adopted at 6 months and I trained him to behave on leash and in the house. Sadly, I couldn't take him to college but now I can care for dogs without owning one! I've cared for many exotic animals throughout high school while volunteering at an exotic animal rescue center which taught me to work with all kinds of animals and different animal temperaments. Furthermore, I volunteered at a veterinary office and learned first hand some of the common procedures and care for dogs.
