Pet care experience
My name is Jacob and I am looking for Pet Sitting/Walking jobs in the Bellingham, WA area. I am available most mornings and evenings and can provide long term or short term care for your pet or home depending on your needs. My experience walking dogs is limited but I have over 10 years experience working with youth at the Bellingham YMCA. I can assure you I will treat your pets and home with the highest level of care. I am a unique pet sitter because while caring for your pet I will take them on adventures to local parks and will even take them to play disc golf or participate in other outdoor recreation and leisure activities! On the other hand if you would like for me to not take your pets on adventures I can leave them at home and check in on them as needed! My experience with house sitting in limited but for three months I provided overnight care for a family of three kids in which I watched over the house and provided maintenance around the house as needed. I grew up around large dogs and am comfortable working with all breads of dogs and cats. I am looking to built a relationship with you and your pets prior to caring for your family member or home. My schedule is super flexible, I look forward to connecting with you to learn more about your furry friends and home!!

Jacob is my next door neighbor. Our other neighbor is often unable to get out with her dog, so Jacob has willingly taken the dog for walks in the neighborhood with me and my dog and by himself. He lovingly leads this 10 year old dog around and praises the dog when appropriate. He is kind, gentle and patient. His interactions with my dog have been similar. Although my dog has considerably more enthusiasm, Jacob has still responded with kindness and a necessary firmness. It’s been a pleasure to have him be a part of taking care of these dogs.
Jacob has been walking my dog Bosco (Large Akita) for 3 months now. Jacob has always provided the highest level of care when taking my dog on walks around the neighborhood. He never forgets extra water, the lease, or waste bags! I can always count of Jacob to be on time and have even had him come take Boss on walks with short notice. When Jacob comes to pick up Bosco for his walks you can see Bosco’s face light up with excitement. I can assure you Jacob will take great care of your pet as he has done with Bosco. Jacob has always house sit for my sister for a week and was great at checking in on the house when requested and cleaning up after himself. You can count on Jacob to be professional and provide the highest level of care to your home and pets.
My knowledge of Jacob’s integrity and responsibility goes back 11 years. I’ve known Jacob since his sophomore year in high school. He has been an outstanding young man who puts others first. He has not taken care of our animals but has had many interactions with both the cat and dog and has a sweet kind disposition when they approach him. I would without a shadow of a doubt trust him with my animals and my home.
Jacob has been my friend since I started high school (10 years) and has always been reliable and someone I can count on for anything. He has built a strong bond with the two dogs I have had since knowing him, always having good energy with them. One being a large pit mix and the current being a large mastiff he can handle their excitement and big bodies when he steps in the door and he is no stranger to taking them for walks/adventures. He is a very active person spending a lot of time outside, he would be a phenomenal caregiver to any dog.
