Pet care experience
Hello, everyone! I am currently volunteering part time at a shelter. Previously, I had been a head shift leader at a doggie daycare where I worked for 5 years. I also was a shift leader at another doggie daycare I worked for 3 years. I have experience with all dogs, big and small, and used to take care of some of the cats at the daycare facilities as well. I also took 2 courses in dog behavior. I have experience administering oral medications for animals that need it, am trained in dog CPR, my number 1 priority was and is each dogs safety, and I treat all of them as if they were my own. I have petsat for friends and clients for many years and I've also fostered dogs in the past. I currently own a 3 yr old, 55lb, neutered, pitbull mix. I may not discriminate against breed, but I'm not gonna lie.... my favorite breeds are pitbulls and black labs! I seem to LOVE my bigger dog breeds, but dont worry I still have room in my heart for the smaller pups! Animals have always been my passion since I can remember. I know I will continue to do this for a very long time. Current availability: For right now, i am only available for housesitting and drop bys. I am willing to meet new clients outside in a public place. Please check my availability calendar for specific days. Thank you and be well!
Reviews
Jaclyn was awesome! Super reliable and treated my pup so well! She followed all my requests to the letter and left my home clean. She was awesome at communicating and I will definitely book her again in the future.
We feel very luck today have found Jaclyn to watch our Daisy. She took time to ask questions about our dog and answered any questions we had thoroughly. It made dropping Daisy off a lot easier, knowing she was in a safe happy environment. We enjoyed photos and updates that Jaclyn shared throughout our dogs stay with her. Looking forward to booking with Jaclyn in the future.
Whenever we go out of town and have to leave our dog, Tilly, behind, we never hesitate to call Jaclyn. She is reliable, responsive and trustworthy, and Tilly loves her!
Very responsable and caring when it comes to taking care of dogs. Pays close attention to any medical requirement a dog may have. Jaclyn taught me everything I need to know about a dogs behavior. Taught me how to read a dogs body language and how to react to certain behaviors a dog may show. would trust Jaclyn with any pet I have.

For boarding/daycare: I have a large, 6 foot high, fenced in yard and a 3yr old 55lb neutered male dog for your dog to romp around with. I utilize crates for sleeping overnight and for when dogs are alone in the house (non-negotiable). This is for your dog AND my dogs safety. I also separate dogs during all feedings. For housesitting, drop ins, and walks: I respect everyone's household and rules. I'll follow your feeding instructions (please have written down) and daily routine. I am experienced in giving oral medications and trained in dog CPR. I am home most of the time so I will be there with them all day, if not, most of the day (I'll usually only leave to run errands.) I prefer dogs who are crate trained, but if you rather them be able to roam, I have no problem with that. **If a pet is deemed aggressive by me in anyway (towards me, household members, or my dog) I will terminate the booking immediately, and you MUST find other arrangements or come retrieve your pet**

Information Jaclyn V. would like to know about your pet
For mine and your pets safety, I would like to know of ANY aggressive behaviors (towards humans or other dogs) and of PAST aggressive behaviors. I can not provide boarding or daycare to any dog that has been aggressive to any other dog or human. I also will not provide any other petsitting services for pets who have been aggressive toward humans. If your pet does not like other pets I do not mind providing housesitting or drop-in services. I would also want to know of any areas of your dogs body or noises/people/things they are sensitive to, if they have any allergies or conditions I need to be aware of, or any specific behaviors they have (whining when they need to to out, growling/barking at strangers, obsessive over lights, etc). I also require a dog to be properly crate trained for boarding stays (I utilize a crate overnight and when I'm out of the house). I will NOT board a dog who is not properly crate trained. Safety is my absolute number ONE priority for all the animals in my care AND the humans around me. I do not discriminate based on breed and love ALL my doggy and kitty friends!
A typical day
For Boarding/daycare: We will go on leashed walks around the neighborhood and maybe some nearby trails as well. I have a large fenced in yard that I always like to run around with the dogs in. We play fetch and chase after each other. Sometimes on hot days I put a kiddie pool out and we will have a dip in the water! I also have a 3yr old neutered male dog who LOVES other dogs. So, your dog will have a great time playing with him. For housesitting and drop ins: Sometimes (if clients allow) I will take dogs I am housesitting on walks around their neighborhood and/or nearby trails. I am home most of the time so I will be there with them all day, if not, most of the day (I'll usually only leave to run errands).
