New to Rover? Get $20 off by booking here: https://www.rover.com/sit/jaclyl75180 (Promo Code: JACLYL75180). After taking care of various kinds of dogs, I have developed a unique skill set in engaging dogs to make them feel loved, patience when walking with dogs, and purchases of soft plush papasan cushions that dogs of all kinds will love. I have a spacious loft with 2 large bean bags, plentiful sunlight, and great air control. I also enjoy walking outdoors and will make sure your dog pees/ poops fully before returning indoors --- no one likes to be constipated! Ultimately, I hope to bond with your dogs and keep them happy while you are temporarily away. My goal is to establish a strong relationship with you and your dog so that I can be here whenever he or she needs me! ***I would like to meet with you and your dog beforehand (preferably in person or Facetime/ Skype if the former is not possible). I will also no longer be accepting puppies (any under the age of 1). Thank you!***

Our experience with Jaclyn on Rover was HORRIBLE. 1. Jaclyn did not pay any attention to our puppy and has no common sense. On the third day of our puppy’s stay with Jaclyn, we received a text saying that our puppy ate a rubber ball and that our puppy might have swallowed the battery inside the rubber ball. First, it must have taken some time for our puppy to bite apart a rubber ball. What was Jaclyn doing that whole time? And then, even after Jaclyn had a hunch that our puppy might have swallowed a battery (which is extremely toxic to all living things), she did not call or take our puppy to the vet. She waited for our response, which was three hours later. We were on vacation so we could not constantly monitor our phones. And, for as long as our puppy is under Jaclyn’s care, our puppy’s safety is Jaclyn’s responsibility. We made sure Jaclyn took our puppy to the vet as soon as we found out. Luckily, for our puppy, the x-rays came out clean. However, unlucky for us, because of Jaclyn’s neglect, we had to pay not only for the x-rays but also an “emergency” fee since it was after hours and without a scheduled appointment. Jaclyn did not offer to pay out of pocket and even objected to splitting the cost with us. 2. Jaclyn did not read the set of instructions that we provided her with. On the final day when we picked up our puppy, we noticed that her nexgard medicine was still inside the box. Our puppy was supposed to eat her medicine four days before getting picked up by us. 3. Speaking of our puppy’s box… After we picked up our puppy, we were eager to play with her at home. However, we could not do so because when we opened up her box to take out her bed/toys/treats, we noticed that the inside of the box reeked of urine and it was because Jaclyn stuffed our puppy’s soiled and drenched dog bed into the box. Her bed, along with her food/water bowls, toys, and treats were covered in urine. When we texted and confronted Jaclyn about this, she said that had happened because she was in a rush. Not a good excuse, she’s very irresponsible. 4. Also, our puppy has NOT ONCE soiled her bed before. Even when we first adopted her months back and she had diarrhea, she did not soil her bed even while crated during the night. So, it is very suspicious that our puppy acted so differently while staying with Jaclyn. Our puppy is potty trained. She rarely goes inside, but when she does, she accurately goes on the wee wee pad. And for the most part, she goes outside. So, for our puppy to wet her bed, we assume that she was abused and neglected by Jaclyn. 5. Jaclyn, persistently, passive aggressively insulted our puppy. When she sent us update photos (which we had to ask her to provide in the first place), we would comment back by saying that our puppy is such a sweetie. Then, Jaclyn would respond with a remark like: “Yes she’s sweet except she chews everything.” Over and over she underhandedly complained about our puppy. As a pet sitter on rover, is she not already aware of the fact that puppies go through a teething phase and are high energy? Beyond that though, our puppy has never chewed on a shoe or sock at our home. We walk her, run with her, play fetch with her, and mentally stimulate her enough so that she doesn’t have to wander around and look for other means to let out her energy. The fact that our puppy acted out and apparently chewed on all of Jaclyn’s things shows that our puppy was neglected. 7. Our puppy had her harness on the entire time of her stay. Whenever, Jaclyn sent us photos of our puppy (looking out the window, walking inside the apartment, napping, etc.) our puppy always had her harness on. We noticed this the very first time she sent us a photo and we clearly told her to take it off our puppy. We only put the harness on our puppy when we take her out for walks but our puppy was strapped in it every single moment and day. Jaclyn abused our puppy.

Great, comforting, and trustworthy! I found Jaclyn to be a very open and trustworthy sitter. I needed someone to house-sit my bulldog, Matzo, and cat, Goldi, for the week and met up with Jaclyn for an introductory visit. She got along with both of my precious Matzo + Goldi very well and I felt very comforted knowing she would be able to take care of them while I was away. She sent me several pictures daily (some of which were edited which I appreciated). I got one of them framed for the living room and would absolutely have her house sit them again! 5/5 stars - highly recommended!

Jaclyn was just amazing. I booked her last minute and she was very accommodating. I could tell that my dog had a good time with her and was in great hands!

Excellent dog care taker and friend! I had a change of plans for the weekend and reached out to Jaclyn to care for my little poodle, Sheryl. Although she is usually shy, she took a liking to Jaclyn during our first encounter. Jaclyn was very friendly and patient with her, and I knew from that point on that Sheryl would be in good hands. Needless to say, Sheryl greatly enjoyed her experience and we've had the pleasure of Jaclyn caring for our Sheryl several times every since! She kept us posted with pictures and texts throughout her stay. 5 out of 5 stars!
