Hi there, I'm Jaclyn! I have owned and/or cared for dogs, cats, rodents, reptiles, and horses, for the past 12+ years of my life. Animals are my favourite thing, and I sometimes wish I had gone to veterinary school. I currently have a 3 year old disabled dog, Joe. He is a beagle mix, he requires a wheelchair for walks, and he is my absolute best little buddy. Joe is a bit vocal, but loves other dogs and loves to have a buddy to go on walks with and hang out with during the day. I also recently got Bonnie, a young chihuahua mix who lost a foot at some point in her life. She adores every dog, and wants to be everyone's best friend. My last dog, Yogi, had various medical issues which required treatment and medication at home, which I handled independently. I know all of the tricks to get a pup to take his/her meds! I previously worked at the busy and successful Petsmart Pet Hotel in Ottawa. At that job, I worked with multiple dogs or cats in group settings, as well as with more "difficult" dogs one on one. I also assisted with puppy group plays and training classes, and really enjoyed that! I think that my experience with all ages & types of pets, as well as experience caring for pets with disabilities and medical needs really sets me apart! Please contact me with any questions.
