Dog Lover with Big Fenced Yard
Pet care experience
I have always loved animals, especially dogs. I worked for vet in customer service, for human doctors in various roles, was a stay-home mom of four kids, a Girl Scout leader, and I fostered puppies. I have 41 years of dog ownership, both large breeds and small. We currently have a 6 year old Shih-Poo and a cat that hides from new people and animals. I love being outside when weather is nice, so dogs get needed yard time for running and playing. I have experience in administering oral, topical, and injectable medications. I look forward to meeting you and your pets.
Reviews
Thank you for taking great care of Pepper.
There is no one in Maryland that I trust more with my puppy than Jaclyn! She sends videos and photos daily, gives the dogs plenty of love, sends home treats and is open to EARLY dropoff (which is so good for a traveling God mom). My pup is always returned to me clean, happy, well-fed and energetic! :-)
Jaclyn and her family is so great to take care of our puppy! we would definitely recommend to our friends and family about Jaclyn for sitter!
We had a wonderful experience with Jaclyn sitting our pup for a doggy daycare. She was warm, patient and understanding. Our pup struggles with some separation anxiety and she really helped put him at ease. We look forward to having him stay with her again in the near future.

Safety, trust & environment
We have a secure fenced yard and I take the dogs outside frequently. I spend plenty of time outside for the dogs’ to enjoy nature and playing. When we’re inside, we can play catch with toys or relax. I crate guest dogs in my room overnight or until I trust them free in the house while I attend an appointment.

Information Jaclyn H. would like to know about your pet
Before taking on a new client, I want to know about past group play experiences, what frightens them, do they dig, chase or bark at cats, housebroken, ever been aggressive, any health issues or medication, and how they usually indicate a need to go out. I REQUIRE A COPY OF THE RABIES CERTIFICATE because I sometimes foster puppies. Visitors must be up-to-date with vaccinations and regularly taking flea, tick, and heartworm preventatives.
A typical day
A typical day includes playing inside and out, potty breaks every 2-3 hours, getting treats for basic tricks, enjoying lots of snuggles and lap time.

Availability
Lots of time for play and snuggles. I do not have a job, kids, or many time-consuming commitments, just a few outside the house. Only adult children and visiting grandchildren.
