Pet care experience
We are experienced house and pet sitters who have spent the past 3 years traveling the world while looking after cats, dogs, chickens, rabbits, and more. Before this we both did housesitting separately for cats and dogs for a number of years. Aaron also has experience working in a cattery, while I gained hands-on experience with more exotic critters working in a zoo for 10 years. Jacki and Aaron stayed with us in Zurich, Switzerland, in May/June 2023 and looked after our cat and flat for about three weeks. They were very reliable pet and house sitters, very tidy and friendly and super animal lovers. Communication went smoothly, they sent us photos of the cat and kept us informed at all times. We would particularly like to mention that during this time our cat had a medical problem (abscess) and had to be taken to our vet and then had to be medicated and kept indoors for several days. Jacki and Aaron did a great job and took our worries and concerns very seriously. We can wholeheartedly recommend them to all pet parents!
We could not have asked for better people to come and stay at our home and looking after our cat, Lottie. I'm not sure if Lottie would have rather have had Jaclyn and Aaron stay permanently than us return. Both Jaclyn and Aaron kept us well informed during their stay along with lovely pictures of how comfortable Lottie was. Also, I'm pretty sure the flat was cleaner when we got back than when we left too. I think the biggest complement I can give is that at no point during the three weeks did we worry about how Lottie was doing as we knew she was being well cared for. Lottie says thanks too! She especially loved watching film noir.

To ensure a safe, trustworthy, and positive experience, we are dedicated to following the schedule and any routines that the pet owner has set out, as well as any other tasks that may be needed. We always ensure that the animals are safe, happy, and healthy, and this includes sticking to their schedule as close as possible, maintaining a clean, clutter-free space, and curating a relaxing, calm environment. We send regular updates and photos as requested by the pet owner, while also always updating in case a pet seems unwell or overly stressed. Our goal as petsitters is for the home owner to return to happy pets, a clean house, and to be able to seamlessly pick up their home routine where they left it.

We always like to know a pet's routine for everything from feeding and playtime to walking and treat times. This allows us to ensure that their transition to having new people in their home is as smooth as possible. Other things we like to know ahead are signs of stress, possible hiding places, any current or past medical issues, and any favorite activities. These details allow us to provide your pets with the best quality of care.
A typical day
A typical day will always follow your pet's schedule as closely as possible. We want to make sure they are getting the enrichment they need, whether that's an energetic walk, a few play sessions, or just a relaxing day in the grass. We always like to connect with the animals as best as we can, so longer playtimes, more cuddles, or just a little extra attention will always be offered. We'll also check in once/per day (or as discussed) to send a cute picture or video and let you know everything is going well.

Availability
We both work part-time from home, so we are able to make work fit around the needs of the animals we are looking after. We are both flexible in our routines, so we can adjust our daily tasks in order to ensure everyone is happy.
