Pet care experience
Hello! My name is Jackie and I LOVE animals! Currently, I work as a Special Ed Teacher, but previously I worked at the Animal Kennel Club - Canine Retreat in NYC as well as the ASPCA as a Veterinarian Assistant. I have also worked at the Animal Rescue League of Boston. I know it can be sad leaving your loved one at home, and I hope to make your pets time fun and engaging for them while you’re away. I am trained in low stress handling as well as animal husbandry. I enjoy walking dogs and I know how important it is for them to get their daily outside time! When it comes to puppies, I know that training them can be quite difficult. I am very patient and have the skills, not just play with your puppy or dog, but slowly teach them tricks too. Jaclyn took care of and walked my dog while I was working long hours on a project, and she couldn’t have done a better job! Brady is slow to warm up to new people, and I was worried about how he’d react to a new person coming into my (his) apartment without me and taking him out, but after just one meeting he was happy to see her. She sent tons of updates and information, asked all about his preferences, and spent extra time with him. I’m so happy to have found someone we’re both comfortable with.
I have known Jackie for over several months working at the Animal Rescue League. Not only was she a joy to have with her positive outlook, but her care for the animals at the shelter. She was comfortable working with different species. Do multiple tasks, and work with some of our behavioral dogs as well. We definitely miss her here at the shelter and I think she would be a great asset to your company.
Jaclyn is so hard working and kind. My dog always has so much fun around her, and I absolutely trust her to make sure he stays safe in her care. She has a lot of professional experience with animals, and it shows. She's my go-to person whenever I need someone to walk or watch after my little buddy. Five stars--I highly recommend her
Jackie is so amazing with animals. Her experience working with pets and her love of animals is evident in the care she takes of the pets in her life or placed in her care. I have three cats, Monocle, Maureen, and Cuthbert, all of whom love Jackie. She has also helped me out with my dog French Fries on a number of occasions. He can be quite a handful, but he thinks Jackie is the best. She's always taken such good care of him. She's responsible, professional, and enthusiastic. I highly recommend her as a caregiver.

I would like to know your pets age and breed so I know what energy level is appropriate for them. What is their favorite playtime activity? Also, if there are any medical problems (blindness, diabetes, deafness, missing limb...) and if your pet is not fond of other animals.
A typical day
Lots of walks (or runs), fun training if interested, playing with their favorite toys, cuddles when sleepy and bath time if needed! If your dog enjoys going to any specific dog parks, I’ll make sure to keep a close eye on them while they play with their friends! As for cats, I own two myself! I understand cat behavior very well and will make sure to follow their lead in order to keep them comfortable and safe while you’re away.

Availability
Currently, I work M-F so my schedule is open on weekends from 8am to 5pm and weekday afternoons from 4pm to 6pm. I can be more flexible on the weekends if needed!
