Farm Life for your Dog!
Pet care experience
I have been around animals my entire life. I have taken care of dogs, cats, birds, bunnies, horses, and more! All of my friends have always relied on me as their "go to" sitter. Being around animals of any kind is one of the greatest privileges in life. I treat all animals like they are my own and believe even when they are away from their home, they should feel like they are "home." When my husband and I lived out in Washington State I got to work full-time at a Doggy Daycare and Boarding Facility for 3 years. It was amazing and I loved every minute of it. I got to bring our Golden Retriever (Payson) with me to work every day and play with dogs. I have always continued being around animals and pet sitting for friends anytime I could. I just learned about Rover.com from a friend and would love to just expand what I already do for other people either vacationers or locals! About Our Home: We live on a private road that is 1/2 mile long making it safe for walks away from traffic. We have 10 acres of land around us with a barn in the backyard. We own a horse (King) who is currently boarded at a farm where we ride here in Wells. We have chickens that are fenced in but we also teach dogs to interact with the chickens so they understand those boundaries. We have 3 dogs (Wyatt - 9 Year old golden mix; CC - 9 year old Boarder Collie Mix; Ovi - 2 year old Black Lab). My Philosophy: I believe dogs should be exercised regularly - Outside of normal play, I am happy to take your dog(s) for a structured walk or even a run if they are used to that with you! I run with Ovi regularly and have trained up to 4 dogs to run with me at one time. If they are used to running with their owner, it's so enjoyable to see them all fall into place and run side by side. I have also taught dogs to run on the treadmill to ensure they get the exercise they need when the weather doesn't cooperate. Dogs need structure, even more so when they are in a new place and away from what they know - so whatever you use for your routine we are happy to oblige - my husband is a big support in this area and great with structure and routine. Our Yard: We own 10 acres on a private road. We have trails through the woods for walking - on or off leash. We have a small pond for cooling off and many kiddie pools! Lots of shade under one of our many trees or in the barn! We love to be outside rain, snow or sunshine! Our home is your dog's home while you are gone for a day, night, or week! We will respect all of your rules such as no dogs on the couch, or bed, or if they are crate trained.
Reviews
This was my first time boarding my dogs with Jaclyn and she did an amazing job. Jaclyn kept me updated with lots of pictures and videos throughout my vacation and I could see the dogs were happy and adjusting well. They went for walks and played outside and at night hung out with Jaclyn and her family. I will definitely be booking more stays with Jaclyn in the future! Thank you for doing such a great job caring for Bella and Zoe.
My pooch Gabie stayed with Jaclyn for 9 days....This was her first visit. I could not have asked for any better attention to my dog who was very timid at first. She gave her special attention ( one on one special walks ), and helped her integrate with the dog pact. Her family took her in as one of their own. Gabie fit in very quickly, and I enjoyed the daily videos Jaclyn sent me. I strongly encourage dog owners/lovers to trust Jaclyn Andrée
Jaclyn is always amazing! Dewey always seems to have the best time and she goes above and beyond to take care of your babies. Don't hesitate!!
Maddie had a great time! Passed out cold at home from all the fun!

We have an invisible fence with multiple collars. If your dog is used to that, we can walk them on the perimeter so they. know the boundaries. We are also have a fence in our back yard attached to the barn for a large controlled play area. All of our own dogs are trained on the invisible fence and are rarely left out unattended. We have a mudroom and a porch that is secured for them to go in and out of the house. Your dog would never be left outside unattended (fenced or not). We have a barn that we spend a lot of time around and the dogs can go in and out of the barn into the yard/pool/pond. Dogs are given exercise, structure and affection. I have spent many years of my life around dogs and like humans, it is important to learn about each dog personally. Who are they as a dog and who are they in the pack. Every combination is different when you are boarding so I spend a lot of time ensuring that the pack I have at the time is bonding. Some like to play and some like to be more calm. If your dog needs their own space away from the pack, we have plenty of quiet spaces for them whether that be a dog bed, comfy rug, or crate (or even on my lap :)

Please let me know if your dog has any aggression or dominance concerns. It's helpful to know their specific signs and also what they need personally - lots of play, time alone for naps or snuggles. Are they more of a people dog? Or do they love playing with other dogs? Also, let me know if they are prone to consuming things they should not? Do they eat other dog feces (which is very normal!)

I don't just want to just watch your dogs and give them potty breaks. I love to learn about every dog I have in our home. We are outside as much as possible! We live on a private dirt road that is very easy to take walks throughout the day without worrying about cars. Some dogs that I have are off-leash trained which is great and some are not which is totally fine! I am very experienced in walking multiple dogs at a time on leash (and even running with them!) We frequently play fetch with the ball, sticks or other toys. We have plenty of water to cool off in the summer and trails to walk on in the woods. I do regular tick checks. I also give every dog personal time (petting, cuddling, brushing). I am with the dogs most of the day and if I have to run out I ensure they are separated and 100% safe; but part of why I love doing this is because I just love being home with my animals!

I am home full-time now and prioritize whatever our pets need. We have 3 dogs of our own and chickens. I am a homebody and although I have children in sports/activities, I enjoy being home as much as possible. Your pets wouldn't be left alone for more than a couple of hours. We also try to plan our activities such that dogs can come with us on hikes, parks, or just car rides. Depending on how many dogs we have at one time, we welcome having them with us as much as possible!
