Hi, I’m Jackie and I am an absolute dog lover! Mine and my fiancé’s youngest child, our mini dachshund Ziggy, is the best. I grew up with dogs and have taken care of friends' and family members’ dogs for many years. I have experience caring for puppies, elderly dogs, and dogs with epilepsy. Ziggy loves playing with other dogs and would love to have some dog friends over for a sleepover.

I have a fenced in yard and a super friendly mini dachshund. Our dog is crated during the day, while we are at work, but has access to most of the house while we are home. He sleeps in bed with us and is allowed up on the couch for cuddles. We can work with you and what your dog needs for alone time, bed time, and through out the day. Rick's three kids (ages 7, 11, and 12) are with us for half of the week, so your dog must be good with children.

Please let me know what your dog needs for their stay to be comfortable, fun, and feel like home. This includes: 1. Dietary restrictions/allergies 2. Does your dog eat scheduled meals or just grazes throughout the day? 3. Are they on any medications or supplement? How are they administered? 4. What is your dogs preferred sleeping arrangement? Do they like to be in a crate, in a dog bed, or in bed with us? 5. While we’re at work, are they more comfortable in a crate, partially blocked off in part of the house, or can they roam freely through out the house? 6. Is there anything they don’t like or are afraid of? (Ex. Thunder, smoke from cooking, loud noises, being pet or touched in a certain spot, etc) What signals do they give when they are afraid or don’t like something? 7. Does your dog like long walks, short walks, going for a run, playing fetch? 8. Your dog’s vet information.
A typical day
Your dog will have a ton of fun when they stay with us. We will play fetch in the yard, go on walks or runs, and go to the park. My dog is not built for long walks or runs, but I am. I would absolutely love having a dog companion for that if your dog needs that.

Availability
I work as a teacher and I am home in the late afternoon. I have weekends, holidays, and the summer off. Rick, my fiancé, works for a cleaning service in the area and stops home in the afternoon to care for Ziggy. Rick is also home in the late afternoon. We usually try to go for a walk in the evening, depending on the weather. If your dog has a specific schedule, we can try to accommodate that as best as we can.
