Pet care experience
CURRENTLY AWAY -- NOT CURRENTLY TAKING BOOKINGS In addition to my two (very energetic and loving) kitties, I often cat-sit for my friends and family's pets. When I am out of the apartment I make sure to keep my cats in a different room from their guests. I have experience looking after several pets at once, all with different personalities. I grew up with dogs, yet firmly believe that cats are such underrated pets! My cats enjoy walks in their harnesses on the fire escape, so I am comfortable giving your cats any exercise, if necessary! But I also understand that many cats are homebodies, so I can happily give them a cardboard box and leave them be! I am very reliable and above all, I love animals! I currently work full time and am a part-time graduate student. ***I am available to start my home visit by 8:00am at the lastest anywhere in MANHATTAN below 125th street. As well as in the evenings after 5:30pm. *** My availability is marked for the morning and evening, this is strictly 7-8:00AM and/or 5:30pm-11:00pm. I can only do one morning visit and one evening visit per day excluding Mondays. I look forward to meeting your pets!

Jackie did a great job caring for my two cats, Kit and Kaboodle! I was always get nervous when I go out of town, but Jackie stayed in touch and sent me really cute videos of the cats playing which helped me feel that they were safe and cared for! Kaboodle also has to take pills, but Jackie was totally fine with giving them to him. I would ask her to care for them again!
Jackie is a loving and energetic Cat parent!!! Her two cats, which she got when they were 7 weeks old, are the most loving and friendly kittens I've met!! One can only assume that her enthusiasm and playfulness played a big role in her cats' personality!

No breed preferences. I would like to know of any health conditions your pet may have. Also, I'd like to know if they do or do not like to be pet/handled. I'd like to know if they tend to hide in hard-to-find spaces and if so, where those spaces may be. If you have a pet that likes to hide and be left alone, would you like the home visit to only consist of feeding/changing litter? Does your pet have any special feeding habits? Do they usually eat all of their food at once or throughout the day?
A typical day
For cats, I have built my cats many playgrounds out of boxes and they love playing with tin-foil, paper, and old-school cat toys. I give Effy walks on the fire escape, but Hank and Bowie prefer indoor time, so I am happy to pet and give them love, as needed. I feed my cats a combo of wet and dry food in different bowls and on different schedules, so I am comfortable with any instructions needed. I have health insurance for my cats, meaning I am a very prepared and serious pet owner. I am well-versed in any animal hospitals in the city in case there is an emergency, including 24 hour hospitals.
