Pet care experience
Hi, I'm Jackie! I've cared for animals my whole life: I grew up with both cats and dogs, and as an adult I've cared for both as well. I currently live with two aging animals, a cat and a dog, and I love taking care of them both (cat is mine, and dog is my roommate's). I have a calm demeanor and I'm great at connecting with pets. I know how tricky it can be to juggle home and work life with taking care of a pet, and it's so important to have support. I'm responsible, reliable, and more than willing to provide pet care when you're going out of town. I hope we can connect!

Jackie took great care of our kitties and house while we were away - we received daily check-ins and photos, and the kitties clearly got lots of attention. She's got a calm energy and excellent communication skills - we will definitely use Jackie again in the future!

When I'm hanging with your animals we'll spend time playing, walking and having outdoor time (if your pet goes outside, that is). I'm more than happy to send you cute photos of our activities as well! I'm great at introducing myself to wary cats (mine is the queen of this) and I'm very patient in letting them warm up to me.

I'd love to know a little bit about your dog - if they're scared of anything in particular; how they get along with other dogs; what sorts of games they like to play; if they are safe around kids or if they should avoid them, etc. I have no breed preferences - love all dogs! For cats, I want to know how your kitty does with new people, the things they like/dislike when interacting, and their general demeanor so that I know what to look out for.
A typical day
On a typical day we can go for walks in Mt. Tabor, Laurelhurst Park, or around SE Portland: Playing catch, hanging out at the dog park (if hanging with other dogs is a good fit for your dog!), and generally just exploring, walking, jogging (for younger dogs) For cats, I'm fine to engage a lot with them, play, cuddle, or hang out, or I'm also happy to give them space if they feel nervous around new people!

I'm a freelancer so I have open availability. I tend to go on multiple walks per day and I love to bring a dog companion along!
