I've had dogs my entire life and the simple yet pure joy that they've brought me dates back to as early as I can remember! My first dog, as an adult, was diagnosed with diabetes. He lost his eye site but would still chase a balls for days. We had an unbreakable trust that allowed him to chase until he'd found his beloved tennis ball. I used urine test trips to check ketones and also administered insulin shots for 2 years. I'm currently caring for a senior dog whose undergome ACL surgery on both back legs. Strict aftercare is imperative to recovery. I also administer an oral pill daily, apoquel for allergies and have become quite creative in order to get him to take it. I've used a humane trap to catch a stray cat, had her spade and then set up a recovery space, in home, to allow her to heal before releasing her. I've dog sat many friends and families dogs over the years and feel I have a calming energy around them. I will care for your pet as if it was my own. Safety first, adventure 2nd!
