Pet care experience
Dogs and cats have been apart of the family my entire life. Growing up, we took in numerous stray cats, bottle fed kittens, helped with my dad's beagle pups, and raised baby raccoons. I adopted my dog Lola a few years ago from a local shelter. She was severely neglected in her former home and had no training whatsoever. So we went through 3 types of different level training courses, as well as a fun trick class- because life shouldn't be serious all the time :) It was a great experience for both of us! In the spring of 2021 I took in a very pregnant and sweet stray kitty, and got to be apart of raising her 6 babies from the second they were born, until they were ready to go to their new homes. Even though mama did all the hard work, they kept me busy- keeping their nursery clean, making sure the babies all learned how to litter train, getting them to transition from milk to canned food and then kibble, taking them all in for their first shots, and most importantly finding the perfect forever homes for each of them. Luckily I knew every one of the adoptors and they send me pictures regularly. I've recently started fostering for one of our local animal shelters. They started me out with 3 kitten siblings that needed some socialization before being adopted. All of them warmed up to me fairly fast, but one of the boys decided I was his new mom so of course I had to adopt him!

Jackie did an excellent job caring for our cats over Christmas. It was a relief to receive updates and pictures during the winter storm and know they were safe. She was even able to lure our grumpy old man out of hiding for some pets. We definitely recommend her service and will use her again.
Jackie dropped in daily to feed and play with my two cats while I traveled for three weeks. I highly recommend her to anyone looking for cat sitting! She shared lots of notes and photos, and I could tell from the observations she made about my cats that she really cared about them and gave them lots of attention. She went above and beyond in helping out with some other minor household issues that arose while I was away, too. A very thoughtful person who I would definitely hire again!
Jackie did a great job taking care of my cats! She gave me detailed updates and photos. She gave my cat an inhaler- which can be difficult- and let me know every day how it went. She played with them and got my cautious cat to come out from hiding and have quality play time. I came home to happy and healthy cats and would definitely rebook!
Jackie was an amazing sitter over the holidays for my cat Pharaoh! She was very responsive, trustworthy, and did a great job of sending pictures after each visit. I will definitely be using Jackie again!

I can handle just about any dog or cat. I have 2 pittie mixes, one of which is very high strung. In obedience class with her, I learned how to properly handle her crazyness so if you're dog is a jumper or a spaz, I'm used to it! I will make sure your fur kids are safe and treat them like I would my own! Any special requests? Just let me know! I'm happy to do what I can to make your pet happy and make sure you're comfortable with them in my care!

Some kitties are sensitive to treats so let me know if they can have them or not. We can't have an upset tummy while you're gone. I like knowing about your cats personality- are they playful or chill? Love catnip? I'm comfortable with all dog behaviors. But please let me know ahead of time if they're dog aggressive on walks or pull alot, or any other quirks they might have so I can adapt to your dog the best I can. Do you give them treats at certain times? (I give mine a Kong with a bone in it whenever I leave for work) If your pet takes any meds I may be able to administer that for you. I'm completely comfortable with oral meds. I've not personally cared for a senior dog, but I do have a senior kitty. I can make sure your old guy or gal is comfortable. Same goes with special needs pets. I've never taken care of one but if you let me know what type of care they need I'm confident I can do that for you. I've also taken care of an asthmatic kitty who used an inhaler every day.
A typical day
I'd like to think of myself as the cat whisperer lol I've met a few potential cat clients that wanted nothing to do with me at our meet and greet. But once I started checking in on them, they warmed up almost immediately (probably because they knew I was feeding them lol) Cats can be a little finicky, but patience and respecting their space is important. There will be plenty of playtime and pets during my visits... If your dog wants to play, I'm totally down for that!! Or do they prefer snuggles and belly rubs? I'm really good at that, too. Let me know if your pup has a specific route it likes to walk.

Availability
As much as I love dogs, they have a much more demanding schedule, and I have a million pets if my own so I stay busy! It's hard for me to do multiple drop-ins in one day. Therefore I'm focusing more on being a cat sitter. But please reach out to me if you have any questions! It NEVER hurts to ask!! As long as the drop-in or walk is late afternoon or early evening, I'm open to those! If you need your dog let out to break up a long day, then that's totally cool! I also offer discounts on homes of 3 or more pets. And if you have a dog and cat you need me to check on I won't charge you the full cat price.
