I really miss my roommates' dog
Pet care experience
I am currently an MS student at NCSU; I did my undergrad in Wildlife science, but began with 3 semesters of animal science, focusing on prevet care for companion animals. My old roommate had a fantastic dog and I miss having her around! Currently struggling with shin splints so can't run with your dog, but love a good walk or game of fetch. I'm comfortable with administering medication, as well as taking care of young puppies, and senior pets. I'm currently a go-to dog sitter for at least 5 people, one small dog and 4 homes with large dog(s), some of who stay with me and some of who don't. My favourites are middle aged mid sized dogs but honestly I'm a sucker for all of them :) Cats are good too!

Jackie did a wonderful job housesitting with our older dog for a long weekend! Kept us updated during the entire stay and left the house in great shape for our return. Would absolutely use Jackie’s services again!
Jackie was wonderful with my dog Finley. Sent lots of photos, exercised my dog, and let her snuggle in the bed. Finley was sad to leave, but we will definitely use Jackie again!

I'm always conscious of a dog's boundaries espescially in their own home, and cautious to the extreme when dogsitting. I will hardcore avoid other dogs and strangers on walks, not go for a ride or to a dog park unless requested, and avoid any unnecessary hazards. I'm usually a hang-around-with-your-dog dogsitter, but will appropriately crate anyone who needs to be kept away for short or long periods of time.

No breed preferences, PLEASE be honest about your dogs ability to be out and alone or if they need to be crated when I’m not home, or if your pet has a history of accidents so I can keep a better eye on them.
A typical day
I wake up early (usually by 7) so start with an early bathroom break, then usually food. If it's a weekday I'll try to work from home so no one is left along unnecessarily, and if I have to go to work I can usually be out in 5 hours. Another afternoon walk, or fetch in the (fenced in) yard if your dog is into that. CHill inside, dinner, and an evening walk.

I am working as a student full time, so I can make my own schedule and often work from home...this is flexible but some class times are inflexible! I'm around most weeknights and weekends, excluding a few field trips.
