I believe dogs thrive when in the presence of people with positive energy and in a structured setting. I'm willing to learn and uphold your training methods while providing a safe and loving environment for your dog(s). I always do my best to be calm and assertive to ensure your pup will be comfortable in any setting we experience together. I've lived with and cared for dogs my entire life, primarily medium-large dogs. Experience with dog breeds including, but not limited to: Labradors, Golden Retrievers, Boxers, Pit mixes, Huskies, Maltese, Aussies, Corgies, and Rhodesian Ridgebacks. Experience w/ hyper, submissive, nervous, and more. My work schedule allows for flexibility. Willing to communicate often, as needed. I understand the importance of leaving your dog in the hands of a kind and trustworthy person!

Jackie watched our dog Zoey for the 2nd time and was another wonderful experience as anticipated! She picked zoey up and dropped her back off after and sent sweet daily photos and updates during her stay. We will definitely book Jackie and any future trips we can’t bring Zoey along to!

Jackie was so great with our corgi. Flexible to be open to taking her last minute and even picking her up and dropping her back off after. She gave us daily updates and it was clear Zoey was so well cared. We’ll definitely use Jackie again if we ever need a dog sitter!!
Jackie was an amazing sitter for our energetic and silly pittie. She understood our pup’s needs well and was very communicative both before and during our pup’s stay with her. I highly recommend Jackie for your sitting needs!

I always make sure the dogs are comfortable in my space. They will not be left along more than a few hours. We have space for a crate if they are more comfortable in there. I do live with my husband (who also loves dogs!) so your pup will need to be comfortable with a male being in the home. We also live with two elderly grandparents so we would need to know that your pup would not jump up on them or knock them down. They wouldn't be involved in care, but will be present in the home. As long as your dog responds to verbal redirection I’d be comfortable having them in our environment.

I do not have a preference on breed, but any breed specific information that the owner thinks is necessary to inform me about would be great. Ideally I'd like to know the dog's typical behavior and personality so I'm able to understand if the dog might be stressed while away from the owner. Any tips and information about training methods and expected obedience is important. The dog's ability to socialize well with strangers, other dogs, etc is always something I'd like to know so I can ensure the dog will be in a safe and fun environment at all times.
A typical day
We will enjoy walks around the neighborhood or go to nearby parks if off leash play is approved. Happy to frequent swimming areas if the dog enjoys water and swimming. I'm open to hearing about the owner's favorite place to take their pup and exploring new hikes around the area.

Availability
I currently work from home and am able to provide walks and potty breaks. I'm willing to walk about 1-2 hours each day. We also have a fenced in yard where your dog can have supervised play time.
