My daughter and I have been hosting dogs since March 2022 when we moved into a new home with a large fenced in yard. We have two mini goldendoodles and have many years of experience being around my family’s labs and husky. My daughter is 12 and is a huge animal lover. She hopes to become a veterinarian one day, and wants to learn more about taking care of animals. I am hoping that watching dogs will help her learn valuable lessons about hard work and responsibility. She plans to use the money earned to help pay for her ballet classes and tutus. We do not take certain breeds with a higher likelihood of aggressiveness (no Pit Bull mixes, Rottweilers, Dobermans). This is only because I do not have enough experiences with those breeds to feel comfortable. * Update: we are currently taking only non-shedding dogs and dogs under 30 lbs, along with any dogs we have already watched during the last year.

Jackie took great care of our dog Mo during a long stay while we were on vacation. She sent daily photos and updates which we appreciated! We loved knowing he got lots of attention, outside time and playtime with other dogs. Jackie was flexible and very responsive!

We have a large fenced in yard with two patio entries to the backyard. Right now we have a large open living space in the lower level where the dogs can play. We haven’t filled it with furniture yet since we just moved from a 2 br condo to this larger home. The dogs are allowed everywhere in the house except two of the bedrooms, because they are carpeted. We allow non shedding and fully house trained dogs into these bedrooms. We can take dogs out every 2-4 hours. We have openings for 4 boarders during each week that we post availability. We often get sibling pairs. We do not take any of the more aggressive breeds, and have the capability of separating dogs by room or by fencing off the lower level if necessary. Let us know your dog’s preferences and we will try to cater to individual requests. I have one extra medium sized crate if needed.

Our preference is for breeds/dogs that are safe around children and friendly with other dogs. Please let us know if your dog has any special needs. We cannot accommodate dogs that have significant anxiety that causes them to bark throughout the night.
A typical day
We enjoy spending time outside and going for walks, and plan to be outside most of the time as the weather gets warmer. My daughter likes to jump on the trampoline, and I plan to be gardening. When it’s cold out, we enjoy reading, putting together puzzles, playing games, dancing, playing ping pong, and watching movies. Your dogs will get lots of cuddle time and attention during their stay.

Availability
I am working from home Mondays and Tuesdays, so I am able to take your dog(s) out regularly and give them attention. I go into work for around 6 hours during the day on Wed-Fri, and typically am home most of the weekend with the exception of trips to church and the gym. We are able to give your dog lots of attention during their stay! We are also very active and love to play in the backyard and go for walks. During the summer, someone is home with the dogs nearly all day. The longest amount of time that they would be alone is 3-5 hours. We will crate based on owner preference. ** Recurring clients: if my schedule looks full, please contact me to inquire about availability. Sometimes I close certain days or weeks but am willing to take pets we’ve had before.
