WE LOVE FURRY AND SCALY ANIMALS! We are active and experienced pet owners - we have 6 dogs of our own, (and also foster for various dog rescues), horses and reptiles. Over the years we have also owned and cared for birds, rabbits, guinea pigs and birds. If we could, we would own a zoo! haha We are excited to pet-sit all exotics - snakes, geckos, etc. Our daughter is planning to go into exotic veterinary care and she loves her exotic pets. We are experienced in providing medical care for dogs (because of our fosters) and also can provide a safe and warm environment for senior dogs. And because we have fostered at least 50 puppies over the last few years, we are also willing to accept puppies that are not completely house-trained yet. Our family is excited to welcome your pets into our home while you are away. We understand how hard it is to leave pets when you go on vacation so we want to give you the same peace of mind we have when we leave our pets with our trusted pet sitters. You could not ask for a better caregiver for your dog than Jacki D. We adopted two little Chihuahua puppies from a litter of 6 that Jacki fostered from pre-birth to date of adoption. They were 9 weeks old when we met and our adopted ours. By then all the puppies knew to how to "sit" and even be patieent for a treat. They were socialized with people and other dogs of all sizes. Our two dogs got the very best start possible in life. In the year since we've had them a relationship that started as strangers has blossomed into friendship. On top of all that, Jacki and her family have several dogs of their own, all rescues, all loved and well adjusted. The entire family is nurturing to their furry family members. Your dog will be thrilled to hang out and have fun with Jacki's human and furry crew while you're away.

Dogs must be small and dog-friendly! We are very open to caring for special needs and elderly dogs, administer medications, etc. We keep very clean small animal and reptile cages.
A typical day
Since we have an active German Shepherd we walk dogs daily, and also have a spacious backyard that dogs can have fun in. We are also big believers in keeping dogs stimulated so they are not bored.

Availability
We both work from home so there is always someone home during the day to care for animals. Plus, with all of our dogs, we are never far away from home on any given day.
