I don't do kids, I do DOGS!
Pet care experience
I've been animal sitting for many years. I'm familiar with many sizes, breeds, personalities, and needs. Will "sit" for cats, birds, chickens, exotics, etc as well, after having shared my life personally with many species (snakes, gerbils, fish, mice, rats, ferrets, horses...) I'm currently working part-time. My hours vary and are usually flexible. I try my best to accommodate your schedule. I want to have plenty of time to share with your precious "family" while you're away from home. I will provide your fur baby(s) with the most love and attention possible. I realize we all have our own routines and habits. I DO have experience giving injections along with other medications, etc. I'm happy to provide this service at an additional $5 cost per pet. Please understand that I may not always be successful depending on your pet's resistance. I don't do sitting in my home. I'm happy to have your pet(s) stay where they're most comfortable, familiar, and at ease. They deserve the best.
Reviews
Always great to have Jacki looking after our kitties!
Jacki was amazing! Attentive and responsive. Highly recommended. Thank you Jackie!
Wonderful sitter, we were short notice and she was more than accommodating! Daily pictures a true professional.
Jacki was great with the dogs. We even had an issue where the dogs escaped and she did some patch work to ensure they couldn’t get out again. I also received a lot of communication and pictures throughout the 10 days. My home was neater than I left it.

I take every opportunity to care for your pets as well as your home, as if you were there yourself. I realize I'm no substitute but I value cleanliness, neatness, and respect your property. I'm happy to water plants, handle mail/packages, trash, or whatever daily needs there may be in your absence.

DESCRIPTION OF SERVICES: My overnight sitting consists of 3 visits in a 24-hour period. If I begin around 3-4 pm I leave til 9-10pm; stay overnight, then leave in the morning til 3-4 the next day, which begins another “overnight sitting “. I can begin this 3X/day at night (9-10), or sometime in the morning, however works best for you. Your pet(s) will never go more than 8 hours without a visit. If you prefer more often, that’s possible with an additional 30 or 60 minute drop-in charge. Times are flexible. These are just common times and suggestions. Pre-Covid, most folks who worked outside the home were usually gone for 8-9 hours a day so this would be a routine schedule for the pets. Most of my pet parents live in houses with securely fenced yards so the pet(s) potty there and walks are not necessary. For my apartment parents, walks are included in the sitting/drop-in fee. For those who prefer their pet(s) be walked even if they have a secure yard, I charge an additional $20 per walk because this extends my usual visit time. On special occasions, I will stay at your place continually for a number of hours for an hourly rate to be agreed upon individually. If you're needing a sitter to stay at your home for a longer period of time, other Rover sitters are available to do that. I'm not, though. If you have any questions, I'd be happy to discuss this with you personally. Thanks for considering me!! The pet(s) and I must get along, of course. If dog(s) (especially small ones) don't allow me to get near them, it's best that I not even enter the house. Knowing their daily schedule, potty and feeding times, sleep habits (location) favorite toys and games are always helpful. Personally, I prefer larger breeds. The bigger the better. I've shared my life with Great Danes, Labs, Aussies, and other mid-sized dogs. But I'm also familiar with smaller breeds. They're usually just a little more fragile.

Availability
I love all animals but have none of my own anymore so I have lots of love and time to give yours. I'm usually quite open for sitting unless others have already booked with me, of course. Please check the Rover calendar. It's important to note that I value my time and yours so I try to be as prompt and efficient as possible. I stay fairly busy so last-minute bookings are sometimes possible for an additional charge. I always prefer to do a Meet n Greet before any booking so I can become familiar with you, your pet(s), your expectations and needs, and your home. With that said, please read the Description of Services so we both know what to expect and are able to agree on the service I provide. Thanks!
