I've had dogs since I was in the 4th grade, all kinds. I'm excellent at handling any type of dog. I've trained pups and helped 're-train' adult dogs. When I lived in the basement apartment of a house for six years in Seattle, I did as much or more of the walking of the dog upstairs as the owner. We were out everyday at the dog park! He became like my dog. When the owners were away, he was my complete responsibility, and DELIGHT! For the last 16 years, my wife and I have had three different dogs, two of them rescues. We LOVE to love on dogs who need lots of loving! I LOVE getting dogs outside (if that's where they like to go) and hanging out with them inside. It's up to the dog! :) I work different part time jobs out of my home. I have a lot of flexibility. I take our lab Bailey for walks at least once a day and sometimes more. We also get out hiking as often as possible. Caring for Bailey is as important to me as taking care of me. In your home, I will care for your dog within the guidelines you give me. If you want your dog walked, we will go walking. If you want your dog to be played with, "Come on! Let's play!" I make sure the dog's routine is as consistent as possible.
