Pet care experience
I have experience working with zoo animals and I’ve worked at my local humane society and vet clinic. I take the time to understand each dog’s unique behavior in order to become the best of friends! At the vet clinic I was a boarding assistant so each day I handled dozens of different dogs. I try to learn about your pet and treat them just like any other living creature. I have rehabilitated a dog that was destined to be euthanized because of his aggressive behavior. I spent every day with him and did what needed to be done to help him realize the world isn’t that scary when you have a friend to explore it with. Although cats are my animal of choice, dogs are a close second.

Jack took great care of Echo while I went out of town.
Jack is simply amazing! He had great ideas to bond with our dog while we were away. Our dog was definitely very comfortable and happy with him. Also, he also took our dog on a hike ... which was awesome. We would love to contact Jack in the future.
Our poodle, Sharr, seemed to have a good time with Jack while we were away for two weeks. Upon first meeting, he was knowledgeable and enthusiastic about animals and showed care about our Sharr’s comfort and wellbeing. Jack forwarded some pictures and videos to us so we could see Sharr enjoying walks and playing while we were away. We felt comfortable having Jack stay in our home with Sharr and would definitely recommend him to others.
Jack is an extremely conscientious pet sitter. He takes the time to learn about each animal and goes out of his way to ensure they have a good experience with him. I would recommend Jack to anyone who wants a caring, responsible sitter for their pet.

I have had pets in the house my entire life. I currently live with two cats a a dog, so having your pet stay with me would not really be an option. If your dog is friendly to other dogs, our dog, Beasley, is very well behaved and loves to play with anything that moves! In past house/pet sitting jobs I have gone to the dog park with both her and the owner’s dogs so if that is something you would be ok with I we would have so much fun doing that!

Let me know if your fur pal has any medical needs or significant behavioral quirks that I should attend to. Such as being afraid of men with hats, or cars, or whatever.
A typical day
I like to treat walks as “their time.” If the pups want to stop and sniff the same mailbox for ten minutes, by all means go ahead sir or ma’am. I let them choose the route and alter their route/behavior only when necessary, or if the owner has provided any specific training guidelines. The walk is for them, not me! I love to take them to some of my favorite parks or trails!

I work full time as a lab tech at a small dental arts studio. My three co-workers, our boss, and I all have a mutual respect and understanding of each other’s needs. I think we would all agree that pets and personal affairs come first. Meaning I can easily leave work to manage your animals as needed.
