Pet lover! (must like puppuchinos)

Pet care experience

Hello, Im Jack! I’m a All-AP, 18 year old High School Student, who has a love for dogs. I’ve cared for dogs my whole life for friends and family, and I’ve never had less than 3 dogs in my house for as long as I can remember. I understand that everyone on here is a dog-lover, but I believe that my love for animals is unique, and that I can provide an extra level of care for your furry-friend that will make them so appreciative when you get home! I am currently offering House Sitting, Drop-Ins, and Dog Walks mainly, but I will be offering Boarding and “Doggy Day Care” throughout this holiday season. I am available for Dog Walks and Drop-Ins any day of the week. For the holiday season, my schedule is completely open. When school starts back up in January, I get out of school each day at 12:30, so my schedule is extremely flexible for Dog Walks, Drop-Ins, and House Sitting. Boarding- I’m currently only Boarding during the holiday season, but may expand that. I can cater to any dog, whether it’s cage trained or roams free, is allowed on the furniture or not, or needs a slow-feed bowl, you name it. We pamper our dogs with treats, puppuchinos from Starbucks, or an occasional french fry. We do have a doggy door to the backyard, so if you have one, great! Whether the doggy door is open or closed, we typically take our dogs out to go potty every 1-2 hours. We have auto-fill water bowls to ensure water is always available. You are also more than welcome to tour the house before, with a full refund opportunity if we do not meet your expectations. For Dog Walks, the service varies. Depending on the time, weather, and fitness level of your pup, it can be anywhere from a short and slow walk, to a lengthy jog. Dog Walks are the perfect opportunity to help keep your dog in shape (or get in shape), without having to sacrifice your own professional or social life. Lastly, I just want to assure you that being a High School Student will not affect me in anyway when it comes to taking care of your dogs. I am in all AP/DC classes, with all A’s, and I can assure you that school will never interfere with my care. Thank you for this opportunity, and I can not wait to meet you and your best friend! Jack

Information Jack R. would like to know about your pet

I would love to meet you and your dog before sitting them, but I completely understand if that’s not possible! I have no breed preferences, the only way to learn anything about a dog is how it interacts with it’s owner, strangers, and other dogs. A dog’s breed has no impact on that, only their upbringing.

A typical day

For walks, I love to explore neighborhoods and let the dogs learnt their way around. I feel this is important because when dogs go out front over and over, it becomes less of a surprise for them. When dogs that don’t get walked enough see the front door open, they bolt because the yard is the great unknown. So when they already know what to expect, eventually they begin to just wait next to the open door for a leash! This is the tactic I’ve used for all of my dogs, and with time, we could trust them to be off-leash out front, and it made going to the dog park, vet, or PetSmart a breeze! If the opportunity allows itself, I would love to be able to take your pup to the Dog Park! Dog Parks are great for socializing your best friend, and being around more dogs will help with any anxiety towards other dogs. My current dog, Murphy, had severe separation anxiety and anxiety towards other dogs. But by putting him in what were initially uncomfortable environments, within minutes he would be playing with all the other dogs, and would lose that sense of anxiety.
