Pet care experience
Growing up I was the youngest in my family and always related best to my 2 brothers, Snowball (half German Shepard & half Dalmatian) and Shadow (Black Labrador Retriever). Being "part canine" is what led me to be hired for my first dog walking job at the tender age of 8 for my neighbor's rescue dog Clancy. Over the years I have been fortunate enough to have met many dog friends. I have had 20+ years of experience with dogs of all shapes and sizes. I am comfortable with and have cared for dogs who require medication and other specific personal care needs as well as rescue dogs who have had traumatic pasts. I firmly believe that "I know it is going to be a good day if I see a dog". From dachshund to Great Dane and young puppy to top dog, every canine I encounter is treated with the utmost care, respect, and playfulness. I enjoy long walks, throwing a ball, and giving endless pets. My doggie dates always end on a happy tail wagging note. #TeamBaroo

Jack has taken care of my outgoing Jack Russell Mix, Indy, multiple times, and I honestly could not pick anyone I would feel more comfortable leaving her with! Jack clearly loves dogs and spends so much time playing with Indy, taking her on long walks and other adventures, and giving her treats! I can tell that it is a treat for Indy to spend a day or weekend with Jack. I felt completely assured and comfortable leaving my dog with him, and would highly recommend Jack to care for your own pet!
Jack is an amazing dog friend!! Our dog Molly was in great spirits when we got home from our trip and since we got numerous pictures throughout the weekend and great updates we know she had a great time with Jack! She is even a better walker with him!! Jack is a gem and we are happy that we met him!!!!
Jack has taken excellent care of our yellow lab many times. It is clear how much he truly cares for animals and puts their needs & interests first. Our puppy Sydney loves when Jack comes over. Jack has great energy and is always ready to play ball or go for a nice long walk. He is very knowledgeable about many different breeds and their specific care-taking needs. He always makes sure to go check in on our very independent cats too! We have had Jack watch our puppy while she was on medication from the vet and he was very professional in administering her meds, making sure she was well fed and had plenty of clean water to drink. My husband and I trust Jack with our fur-babies and knowing your pets are safe and in good hands is the best feeling. I would highly recommend Jack to anyone who is looking for a caretaker for your loving pets!
My husband and I have a 1.5 year old beagle mix named Dori who can be quite the handful. Nothing makes her happier or more excited than seeing Jack walk through the door though! She absolutely adores him and has the best time when he comes to see her. We always return home to a very happy and very sleepy little dog thanks to the long walks and tons of playtime Jack provides. We highly recommend Jack to any pet parents in search of an excellent pet sitter. He's extremely responsible, professional, and always shows up with a big smile. You're pet will be in the best hands possible with Jack.

Information Jack D. would like to know about your pet
Before taking care of a dog for the first time, I like for their human to provide me with the following information: 1. Dates/Times needed and how to access home 2. Human's emergency contact information and vet information 3. Accessibility needs of dog (medications, allergies, etc.) 4. Navigating the home necessities (location of dog's food, leash, harness, poop bags, etc.) 5. Tell me about your dog's greatest interests and fears- do they enjoy going for car rides? favorite toy? are they intimidated by the vaccuum? love to chase squirrels? do they go bananas for certain treats?
A typical day
Activities are dependent upon a dog's abilities, comfort levels, and interests some of which may include: Long walks, chasing after balls, playing tug of war and keep away, wrestling, hide and seek, photoshoots, doggy boot camp exercises, visits to local parks, dancing & sing-a-longs, etc.

Availability
I am available for walks and drop-in visits throughout the week in the morning, afternoon, and evenings. I am available for dog sitting at your home on the weekends typically starting Friday around 5pm/6pm and ending Sunday around 5pm/6pm. Depending on your travel plans for a particular weekend, I may be able to accommodate starting & ending at alternate times. *Please note: If a family is traveling and an unforeseen situation arises that delays their ability to return home at the expected time (ex. flight is cancelled, icy/dangerous roads, etc.), I should be notified as soon as possible to ensure we coordinate proper care for your dog until you do indeed arrive at your home. Depending on the length of the delay (hours vs. days), will determine appropriate options. I might offer to leave & check-in later, continue to stay overnight at your home, bring your dog to my home for the day or overnight, or if you instruct me to do so I will transfer care to whomever you designate (ex. a neighbor, your friend, a family member, or a boarding kennel).
