I am a soon-to-be school teacher with extra time and lots of affection for the dogs among us. (Chickens are my one true love, but they live elsewhere.) Most of my other work is flexible, and I'm home most days studying, cooking, gardening, and reading. I also have two roommates, which means extra company for canines who are used to a larger pack. I pet-sit as well as kid-sit for several families around the city, so I'm used to all kinds of arrangements for keeping pets happy and cared for. I understand that dogs are emotionally complex and need responsive care, especially when they're away from their usual people. Their doggy feelings really do matter, and being patient and understanding with them goes a long way.
