Pet care experience
My name’s Jacinta and I’m a CPDT-KSA (Certified Professional Dog Trainer, Knowledge and Skills Assessed). I’ve run my own dog training business, Proton Pawsitive Dog Training in Los Alamos, for over 6 years and have just moved to Albuquerque with my husband. We also have a 13 month old daughter who adores pets and is very gentle with them. She attends any daytime walks or visits with me, but stays in her stroller and does not interact with your pet. I love working with and walking all dogs, including aggressive, reactive, hyper, or shy dogs. I have also worked and volunteered in animal shelters. My own pet is a 10 year old spayed cat named Clarissa. She’s used to animals coming in and out of the house, as I have fostered over 60 animals in the past 12 years!

Jacinta is very experienced, knowledgeable, and qualified. She holds multiple dog training certifications and has successfully handled and/or trained dogs of all different kinds of sizes, personalities, agression, and reactivity. She is very passionate about dogs and all animals and their well being.

For boarding: What energy level is your pup? Do they have any separation anxiety or destruction tendencies? Do they jump fences? Are they crate trained? Please note I have a toddler and a cat- how comfortable will your pet be with this?
A typical day
Our walks can be done in your neighborhood or a nearby park. I’ll work on improving your dog’s leash walking and focus, and they’ll improve each time they see me, leaving you a happy and well behaved dog in the evenings. I have worked with all breeds and mixes and love to walk any size dog- 180lbs is the largest dog I’ve walked... two of them at once! I use treats during walks to reward good behavior so please let me know of any dietary restrictions.
